yes but they pay fees up front so is a form of export - & most go back home - & hopefully send their kids back here for a British education which is one thing that has not (yet) been totally fucked up. A small proportion stay - usually to take high salary jobs & pay taxes. Your typical Brit studies a crap degree then wants the world to open up for them after their year backpacking round Thailand. Sadly their crap degree gets them a crap job - if they are lucky. Never mind, teh lecturers are still raking it in though.
