EnderZ13 Getting a degree in political science or business to get involved in government is not progressive.  It is easy to just create taxes and spend other people's money.  The issue we have isn't money, it is lack of doctors, nurses, professors, researchers, tutors, dorms, classrooms, etc.  They don't appear out of nowhere.  Someone has to develop the skills to produce.

  2. The political left is never active to begin with. They want "free college" and "free healthcare" but they are not the ones who are going to get their doctorate or become skilled to provide those things.

  3. timi A Not true.  With political affiliation scientists are mostly moderates.

  4. millieton1338 Not necessarily true.  In fields like art and gender studies they are very liberal.  But in the STEM fields and economics they are moderate.  That is because in fields that require problems solving skills and critical thinking tend to lean less to the left and more right.  As a scientist myself I can tell you that scientists are moderate where many of them are right leaning.  I do know some who are left leaning but for the most part they are moderate.
