  1. Yes, we live in a society. What progresses a society is being productive. Giving money away to people who produce nothing isn't helping a society. I am all for helping society but if certain people are not going to pull their weight then I say screw them. They are being the selfish one.

  2. Yes republicans are selfish. We are so selfish that we want unskilled low educated people to get jobs when no one is willing to help them in high school. We want them to get jobs by eliminating the min. wage and they can then develop a skill and move up. We are selfish because we like to work for our money and actually help people instead if being generous with other people's money. We are so selfish that we want small businesses to succeed. Yep, we are selfish.

  3. I agree, we need to lower taxes and expensive regulations so businesses will stay put here. When you raise taxes on the rich or businesses you end up raising it on the middle class. The middle class pay somehow either through higher prices or less jobs and wages.

  5. And why have jobs been sent overseas? Because of crony capitalism. High taxes and regulations play a role as well. It is so expensive to do business here so jobs are sent overseas. In the second debate Obama state that is exactly what he wants. He doesn't want low skill low paying jobs, even though they are the ones that drive the economy and give people jobs. Only 30% of individuals hold a college degree so low skill jobs are all they can get and Obama doesn't want them.

  14. Because small businesses simply can't afford higher wages. Big businesses can do with less staff before they go bankrupt and they have the resources to develop ways to run a business on less staff. Think self checkouts at walmart.

  15. Why do businesses already pay above the min. wage? Only 5-6% of workers make at or below the min. wage. Businesses can chose to pay less but they don't. Instead they pay more. What you just said can't be farther from the truth.

  16. Small businesses can't afford it so they will just sell their business to a bigger one. Big businesses have the resources to simply do with less staff if they have too. A place like walmart will just install more self checkout lanes or a place like McDonalds will make people wait longer for their food or find more automotive ways of doing business. Raising the min. wage doesn't help the middle class at all, it only hurts them.

  21. Banks didn't ruin the economy but the federal government did. All the banks did was drink the alcohol the federal government poured. If the federal government was limited and we had state rights this wouldn't have happen. Instead what happened is that we had a problem, the federal government "fixed" it but instead create more problems so now people are looking for the federal government again for help. That is the problem.
