Voter ID laws do not discriminate. I do find it ironic how liberals want expanded background checks on guns but freak out when people talk about voter ID laws.

Gerrymandering does not suppress democracy as we can vote in politicians to change it and move if necessary. Also, in the end the federal government was supposed to have limited power to where it only served the states. If a state wants to redraw their districts to change their representation then fine.

Evan M, you vote for you local representative in a democratic way. And no, gerrymanding does not violate the equal protection clause. No rights are being violated.

The design of the country is that the federal government served the states and the states ran the federal government. This is done by the states sending representation to capital hill. If the states and the people of a state wants to redraw their district to send different representation to DC then I am fine with that. If you don't like it then vote in different representation at your state level.
