  2. Jesse, it is much more complicated than that. The CEO is running a major company and is responsible for that company's success and numerous jobs. Also, CEOs are paid differently than the average guy and some of the times that payment depends on the success of that business. That average guy has different financial goals and a different situation all together. You comparing these two hypothetical people is similar to comparing the New York Jets to some small town football team.
