  1. I find it funny how a TYT episode talks about lack of trust in the government, but wants that same government to run our healthcare, college education, our money with higher taxes and so on.

  3. iMarooned This is why the founding fathers wanted smaller, more local government.  You an control it easier. You want the federal government to do all of these things, but now complain when, who you feel like is an evil person, becomes in power.   I feel you need to "educate yourself".

  4. jerico641 The federal government is the states. If you want those program do them at the state level.  Also, "fair" would be a flat tax.

  5. jerico641 We are a nation of 320+ million people.  There is no way we are "coming together".  " you expect someone making $700,000,000 annually to pay the same percentage as someone making $45,000 and living paycheck to paycheck? " There never use to be a federal income tax.  But in reality that is "fair".

Yes, people, all people. "Educate yourself about your country" I am well educated on the country.

If someone is willing to work I don't mind developing something at the state and local level to help them out.  As is we have people who simply refuse to work.  Why should I work 10+ hours a day and live the same life style as someone who refuses to get better?  By the way, my work involves actual skills. "As for the flat tax issue, please explain to me how something like that is fair.  19-20% of a working person's gross income being taken hurts a hell of a lot more on a very realistic level than it does a billionaire." That billionaire most likely runs a company and will just pass the cost on down to their employees and consumers.  Also, someone that rich is like that because they invested their money which generates wealth which behooves the vast majority. "This is peoples' income, their survival, that we're discussing." And if there is nothing to spend that income on it does not matter.
