Árni Þór Þorgeirsson The "experiment" has been going on for a while. Texas is doing great where CA isn't. What is going on in KS is that Brownback is an idiot.

David Stagg Texas has one of the highest GDP growth in the nation and has seen more job growth than CA. CA has the lowest literacy rate in the nation. Now a lot of that comes from having a large hispanic population, but TX has one as well and still is doing better literacy wise compared to CA.

David Stagg Texas is number 2 at 5.2%, CA is at 2.8% being ranked 9th. Texas has seen 20% job growth, CA has seen 17% in 2015. That is despite TX having an overall lower unemployment rate during that time. CA has 23% of their state lacking literacy skills, TX has 19%. The Hispanic population is similar at 37%. Now these are two states with similar statistics, at least to me, with the exception of GDP growth (where TX almost doubles CA). Job growth is around the same, so is literacy rate. But when people cry how certain policies don't work and point towards KS, one can point towards the TX and CA comparison and show otherwise.

Lerkero You can find modern day examples of how left wing policies don't work either. It goes both ways.

raven3moon People seriously think that way, that rich people somehow got all their money out luck and just sit on it.

Blaze Blue To answer your first question.....yes. Those who are successful were creative, took a financial risk, and worked hard. You obviously are not in an upper position in anything in life because if you were you will realize how hard the job actually is. The rich very much understand the troubles of the economy because they have the most to lose. Trickle down economics is not an actual economic term. It is an ad hominem attack made by politicians. The fact that you are citing it shows you lack of understanding of economics. You are jealous. Sorry but some people are more successful than you. How about instead of making excuses and asking for handouts and berating the rich you actually work.

Pete Lind There is no such thing as a "livable wage" considering there is not standard attached to it. "Or USA just has a shit load of companies that are not viable and should be closed down." Or maybe the US has a shit load of workers that are not viable and should be shut down.

Kyermett People can look at Detroit or Baltimore and say no. They can look at CA and say no.

Christian Dauz Three things to say to Democrats: Detroit, Baltimore, Louisiana, CA.....oh wait, that's four. It goes both ways.

Ultra liberals are going to run with KS as long as they can while the right has Detroit and Baltimore to look at. This is more of a sign of Brownback being an idiot and not so much of policies.

james phoenix To me "trickle down economics" is an ad hominem attack.
