  2. The point is that every job available is for the highly skill, that even means McDonalds, while everyone else lives off of welfare.

Has to do with checks and balance of powers.  The US is a huge country and democrats don't completely agree with everything and same goes with the republicans.  Just look at the recent healthcare law, the democrats couldn't agree on that despite having control on congress and the presidency.  Not a single republican wanted the law but even the democrats didn't want it.  It took a lot of work.  The idea was to hinder the growth of the federal government.  While the founding fathers wanted a small federal government they saw a time where politicians would use it to gain power, especially corrupt ones like Obama.  It is a great system and a good reason why we have not completely fell apart yet despite our size.
