He is right, the players are not in charge, the owners are. Without the owners the players are nothing. And look at the ratings of the NFL, people do not support the protests of the players.

NFL players make millions. Why don't they donate some of that money for private lawyers and investigators to look at issues of what they feel is police brutality? How about they also donate money to help inner cities? Stop complaining and put your money where you mouth is. They make millions and have that ability.

The protest is stupid. The issue has been discussed. Police brutality is being exaggerated here. These players cannot give a large list of examples. At this point they are just crying and the players do need to be put in their place. And who is that bearded guy? Get a haircut and a shave. TYT is a mess.

Look at inner cities, they are places where taxes are high but it does not seem to be helping.

The owners will find new players and those players will not be paid as they are violating their contract. Owners will still be paid though. They won't care.

Bill Anderson, players are a dime a dozen. I have been around football for almost 20 years and I have seem a lot of talent come and go. There are semi-pro players who pay to play that would love to get a shot at the NFL. In reality player turnover rate is high. Players come and go and if you don't want to cooperate someone else will. To give a couple of example Deion Branch was a Super Bowl MVP. The next year he caught 78 passes. The next year the Pats traded him as he was expendable. Lawrence Phillips was a very talented running back that was drafted high. He had problems and was out of the NFL quickly. The same was with Ryan Leaf. "The owners could pass away tomorrow and the NFL would still operate smoothly. " If all the owners did it won't. But if some sure, but that is because the owners have established a system. Eventually a new owner will take over.

I work semi-pro games and have seen players who pay to play. If they are given a shot to earn money to play on the big stage they will. It is no different than walk-ons in college football programs. They are playing for free as they want the opportunity.

Hal Jordan, elite players come and go as well. Drew Bledsoe goes down and Tom Brady replaced him. People moved on. Priest Holmes went down and Larry Johnson replaced him. People move on. Players are a dime a dozen. I have seen great talent come and go.

Bill Anderson, I am very open minded. But to think that the NFL players are running the show is asinine. Players come and go, the turnover rate is high. The Patriots have let a lot of players go that were considered "great" such as Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Damien Woody, Logan Mankins, all pro-bowlers with many years left. And the Patriots still win only missing the playoffs once during that time. The one time the missed they were 11-5. These players are expendable. No different than workers at a company. The owners make the league.

To add, when the MLB players strike fans left for a long time. The fans did not care anymore. But the owners were fine. Why? Because they are invested in other places. Clark Hunt, for example, oversees MLS teams. Dan Snyder is invested in Snyder Communications. Martha Ford owns the Lions, guess what company she is also invested in? These owners are fine. Even if the NFL completely folded they will be fine. The players will have to find more work.

There are also some D-II athletes who get a chance in training camps who are talented. The point is that there is a lot of talent out there and if the current NFL players want to quit than fine, others will replace them easily. "The stars sell the merch., not simple "players"." And how many stars are there? And how many will be willing to quit? In the Texans incident only one was a pro bowler from what I saw. Only one of the ten, and where does his jersey sell rank? So? The NFL makes money off of TV contracts. Just having that label of NFL increases sales by a lot. Without the NFL the players will have no where to go. There is not organization as large and organized as the NFL.

Noah King, it is a non-issue. Go down the list of what is being complained about and it is a non-issue. If the NFL players want to donate money to hire private lawyers and investigators to handle cases of what they feel is police brutality than fine, help that way. But taking a knee and crying about it and refusing to have a discussion and/or donate something is pointless.

If you have a problem with cops than handle your own. You are painting all cops to be one way when they are ran and funded locally. Cops in Las Vegas, NV are different than cops in Fernly, NV. "How can cops arrest someone with the violent crime of resisting arrest and it's the only charge?" Plea bargains, they plea down to a lesser charge. Happens all the time. I never heard of cases like this, but again, with representation they can be protected. "Whites are arrested for like 64% of crimes, Blacks 24% yet Blacks make up a larger prison population. " Different crimes offer different times. Men make up a larger portion of the prison population, is the system sexist as well? But being arrested for a DUI is different than being arrested for gang activity and selling drugs.

Mr. Gohan, it hasn't. For the most part I don't care. I lose no sleep over it and this is the first time I have made a comment in almost a month about it. I really don't care as I know it is getting nothing done. People are smart enough to see past their BS.
