This is dumb. If you are a felon then you have done some actions to lose certain rights. Even after prison time you still are not the most trustworthy of person and you need to prove yourself. When you apply for a job and you put down felony then you put down why. Depending on the crime would determine if they get a job or not. Now after getting a low wage low skill job and you prove you worth and commitment then you can move up.

When you apply for a job you list if you have a felon or not and if you did then you list what it was. Depending on what it was would determine what kind of job you get. I worked with ex-felons so they are able to get a job. Thing is that if I ran a business I wouldn't want certain people with certain backgrounds working at my place of business. If you were a felon due to drug charges then I can accept you. If it were because of statutory rape and I employ minors that is a different issue.

What this group doesn't get is that on applications if you list you are a felon then you list what it was for. You are right, this isn't a B&W issue and that is why there is that spot to list the charges. It allows employers to determine if someone is worth taking a risk on. This is just California being stupid again.
