This isn't changing his mind, it is a moderate stance that follows the constitution. If the states set it at a high rate then companies leave to another state but stay in the US. At the federal level they leave the country all together. That sticks with his original stance.

+Allie Farid $7.25/hr is too high in my hometown. Now I admit I am a bit bias considering I am against the min. wage all together, but in my hometown I have seen $7.25/hr literally kill small businesses, and smaller surrounding towns. With rent being $250/month (that is without roommates), you can literally walk everywhere, food is cheap, utilities are cheap. At $7.25/hr you can be just fine in my hometown.

+Nick66234 Slaves were forced to work. There is no definition for "slave wages". It is a made up term for talking points by ultra liberals. Also, the federal government has no constitutional authority to even create a min. wage. You may want the fed. to involved, but do you want to give the federal government that much power and then have republicans, who I assume you hate, take control?

+Nick66234 You are giving the government the power to set prices. That is too much power. Slaves were forced to work, that is why there is no such thing as a "slave wage". " And yes actually, the state can actually have no minimum wage law. But if the federal law has a minimum wage then it will override." Actually that is not true. The 10th amendment is not supposed to allow that.
