  3. Zeng, during that debate Cruz brought up the cost of single payer and how we can't afford it. What was Bernie's response? He responded by criticizing Cruz in his tax policy. He did not give a rebuttal on cost nor gave a plan to pay for it. So he may want single payer, but he doesn't have a plan to pay for it. Bernie berated that small business owner and showed he does not care about any business owner. The fact is that some businesses can't afford healthcare insurance. Just like some businesses won't be able to afford a $15/hr min. wage that Bernie wants. That is why people hate him. He preaches all the time about the 1%, millionaires and billionaires, and big corporations. But in reality he hates small businesses as well.

  5. Coma, I am a highly informed voter and I have read Bernie's plan. His plan is crap. But that doesn't excuse him on the debate. Cruz brought up cost and how we can't pay for it but he did not defend himself.

  6. Not really. Payroll taxes restrict wages from people who actually work. Sales taxes taxes anyone even if they don't work in the US, such as tourists for example. You also have the option to pay a sales tax for the most part.
