The gunshow loophole is pretty much a myth
3
The citizens of those states love to make excuses.

Chances are that the shooter either 1. owned the gun legally 2. stole it 3. would have passed a background check due to not having a record to begin with The gun control advocates are going to use this to push for more gun laws when the laws they push for will do nothing to stop these shootings. Also, murders by guns have been dropping for almost 20 years.

That could be true

It is more of that proposed gun laws won't prevent shootings like these.

"Guns, no matter whose hands they're in, kill people." Funny you say that. I recently took my gun, loaded across 4 states. It killed zero people.

Mass shootings don't happen 400 times a year.

When you water down the definition of what a mass shooting is then of course you will get an inflated number. You can change the standards and have it drop down to 4

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/local-news/20151205-mass-shootings-in-the-u.s.-this-year-353--or-4-depending-on-your-definition.ece 5 minutes of googling will find sources showing you there have been very little mass shootings. Your standard of 4 or more "victims" is vague. What is a victim? What if one person is killed? Aren't the family members victims? Now your number is probably huge. If I were you I would suggest going that route, it will make your mass shooting number larger making whatever agenda easier to push on the ignorant.

You can still by a gun in CA pretty easily. CA just has strict laws such as it being harder to obtain a CCW where AZ has none for example. Both of those laws have nothing to do with actually owing a gun. So it isn't about "smuggling" guns across state borders.
1
It is a poor argument. In those states you can still buy guns.

No state can ban guns, that's the point. It violates the 2nd amendment. Even at that guns are an archaic form of technology and exist everywhere. Banning them would only make it so that only criminals get a hold of guns. As a whole you can still buy guns easily in CA. The restrictions that don't work are magazine limits or hindering CCW access. That is the point I can easily make on gun laws which goes against your argument making your point irrelevant.
1
To me that isn't a problem with guns, that is a problem with people wanting to kill others. I don't need a gun to kill a lot of people. I can easily build a bomb and take out an entire building if I wanted. I can buy a rifle and snipe people out. You seem confuse on the issue.

Gun control laws don't work.
1
The UK has always had lower crime as a whole. That has nothing to do with guns but instead has to do on society.
1
You can buy a gun just as easily in Sacramento, CA. CA laws are not that restrictive in buy guns, they have restrictions such as magazine limits which do nothing in preventing mass shootings.
1
But guns laws have been shown to have no role in reducing crime.
