Also, you have to pay for labor to have the door installed, shipped, etc. How much does Bernie spend? Remember, he owns three homes.   2. It is not that simple. You talk about the doors but fail to bring up details. How much was labor? How much were the doors in general? How much was shipping? Did the entire frame have to be replaced? All of that drives up the cost. These projects are more expensive than what people realize. It reminded me of a time how I brought up how a new parking garage needed to be built in our university. One of the representatives of the university showed me that parking garages cost $30,000 a parking space, and how they have 80 year payoff times. He showed me the entire cost and broke it down. Fact is these projects and items are expensive.
