Most of the time it is the idea that a gun could be present that deters criminals from doing any action. Why do you think most to all of these shootings happen in gun free zones? The criminal knows there will be very little resistance as oppose to shooting up a gun range or robbing a house where someone can own a gun.

Ok, now enforce them. You can't. You have never dealt with people with criminal behavior. A better solution would to improve the economy so people aren't stressed out or broke all the time.

What he said was not fully correct. A reason why we have seen a spike in mass shootings since Obama took office is because of a bad economy. If you fix the economy first then people will have jobs, no debt and healthcare. Because of a poor economy people get stressed and just snap and this is the result.

Since Obama took office there has been an increase in mass shootings. I wonder why. Maybe when you have an economy that sucks people get stressed and finally snap and go off and kill people. Or they get bored and commit shootings. They get bored because they have no job. You want to lower mass shootings? Fix the economy, allow people to get jobs, healthcare, lower their debt and not be so stressed in life and it will happen.

Can't compare Europe to the US. We have more diversity and we have a different mind set. We are a more aggressive nation and while it creates problems it also promotes progress. Also in Europe you have separate countries where a problem that is happening in the US is that we are starting to go away from state rights and expand federal government. It develops more problems. Guns are not the problem overall, violence is. Removing guns won't prevent criminals from breaking the law.

What you will see in that situation is a low crime rate in the south and guns being illegally transported to the north to commit crime there.
