  2. People can lie with statistics. You have to be careful. For example, if you look at life expectancy the US is low. But if you remove car accidents and murders the US is number 1. Am I saying the US is number 1 or bad? No.What I am say is by asking for stats they can be interpreted in many ways making any country number 1. In the case of Australia up to 7000 people die a year waiting for "elective surgery".

  9. Defense is around 4% of GDP, healthcare is 1/6 of our GDP. Also, the VA is terrible, so I would argue we don't pay for healthcare for our veterans that actually served our country.

  13. Crony capitalism comes from big government. You expand government to control healthcare and free college you give them more power to sell. That expands crony capitalism. Ana really did not do anything here. She simply said she supports capitalism with no evidence.

  14. Ryne Green, for as bad as Walmart and Amazon may be I have never seen them force anyone to give up their money or work for them. I have seen that with government. There is a desire to have government, but we need to keep it as local as possible to control it. Giving more powers to the federal government is not the solution.

  15. derwyn owen, population size does matter. You have less diversity so you can install a one size fits all policy. Look at the 50 states in the US and how the economy differs in every state. Smaller population means you can micromanage these programs better. A larger population means you have more people bogging down the system making it more expensive.
