  1. Also, what has Trump done to hurt anyone? Who has been harmed here? Are people being laid off in large amounts? Are companies shutting down? Is a recession starting? I do not see the problem here. All I see is the left just crying because they do not like what he is doing which is not surprising.

But in case you forgot it took many attempts to pass to where one point the democrats had a closed door meeting with no republicans allowed to try to pass it (and still failed). They also did the cornhusker deal. At that point I can only assume you are bias or very young. Trump supported gay marriage. I do not see your point there.

  5. Lindsay, the media is mainly liberal. And the ACA is a complete mess. We did not need major healthcare reform at the federal level. We needed it only at the state level as best as it was the federal government that created the problems to begin with.

Now that Trump and the republicans are in power you are crying. You gave him that power. If you left healthcare to the states then this would not be an issue.

  8. Ben, people who usually vote republican have a higher income and do not rely on the federal government. Also, states control and run K-12 education. Betsy Devos has very little power in education. Also, I am a PhD candidate in physical chemistry. Ben, you are the reason why Trump won and people think liberals are dumb.

  10. Lindsay, if those states have not funds like you claim than cost of living and prices are lower. There is not need for the federal government to "nudge the state". State run their own K-12 education system. States control their own roads and law enforcement. They will be fine, especially if we cut federal taxes which will allow citizens to have more funds. Also, at the state level they can micromanage those programs better making them more efficient and cost less. " I live in a conservative state that chose not to expand Medicaid so clearly has no desire to address the issue whatsoever." Than either rally to vote out the politicians there or move. "But what you're saying is the majority will decide what is best for everyone and the federal government should not step in and stand up for the sick and poor people of that state?" The local community should decide what is best. At the local level you have a larger voice and your vote is weighted more. Also, if you do not like how a state is being ran than you can move and remain a US citizen. There are many states I will never live in because I do not agree with how they are ran. And guess what? I do not tell them how to run their state either as I am not a tax payer there.
