Eugene's Youtube Page What does government have to gain from this?  A lot.  That is the issue.  I support doing more research in it and progressing in technology.  We need to get politics out of science.  All this is going to do is create unnecessary taxes and regulations on top of creating more bureaucracy and special interest groups.

  6. Eugene's Youtube Page Power.  The government is creating the idea that we need them to solve this "problem".  No different then with healthcare. Healthcare is a mess and the government is saying we need them.  So we give them all this power to tax and regulate to where they cater to interest groups and become corrupt.  "Being an intelligent species we've paid the scientists big money for research to guide our political decisions. They're telling us the results." Science is very vague when it comes to research and the results they find.  With climate change, the issues are 1. how much is man play a role if at all 2. is it even bad Politicians are saying that the world is warming up, which is true.  But is that even bad?  What does it mean?  There in lies the problems. Scientists are not making that definitive of a conclusion, politicians are.  And when they do so they are looking for votes.

  7. Jeb Kfan 1. There is no "consensus".  That 97% everyone keeps bringing up was from a survey where less than 1% of scientists even wanted to answer.  So 97% of 1% less than 1%. 2. We don't know how bad it is.  Time to evolve like every other species has in the history of life.

I support smaller, more local government to solve issues like these.  That is what we need to be shooting for.  Not expansion of the federal government.
