  1. This is rather dumb. The Department of Education at the federal level actually has limited powers. Also, she is pushing for more state rights which is want is needed for K-12 education to improve, so I support this.

  6. Dan, I was an education major at one point. The classes are a joke taught by professors who could not get out of a classroom fast enough. And most education majors are going in thinking they know a lot when in reality they don't. I switch majors and now I am a doctorate student. So yes, I am educated.

  7. Her response to Bernie Sanders was correct. Nothing is free, someone has to pay for it and offer it. So no, it hasn't been taken care of. You can tax all you want but we don't have anyone to provide education since we lack professors, TAs, tutors, dorms, equipment and other supplies. Jimmy Dore doesn't realize this because he is a socialist. He doesn't understand a problem until it personally affects him. It is easy to spend other people's money.

  9. Reggie, a couple things. One, it is constitutional for the federal government to fund and run a military. In reality the federal government is not supposed to have any say in public education, and for the most part don't at it is a state issue. Next, spending on defense is different compared to education. When you spend on education you are increasing the demand of something that we right now are in short supply of. That is why tuition has gone up with the student loan program. In defense spending we don't lack supply thus you are not going to artificially increase the cost of something.

  10. Remy, it is not an investment because at that point you are an adult and should be able to educate yourself. You don't need to attend an institution to develop skills and become educated. It can help, but it is not required.
