We don't run on mob rule. Just because the majority support it does not mean we should do it. This is literally the majority telling the minority what to do.

@Xpistos510 , no one paid that high rate. Also, during that time you point to we did not have the EPA, medicare, medicaid, OSHA, department of education and many other federal programs. Also, the rest of the world was rebuilding after the war where we weren't. So that is that as well.
