  1. I do not see this as shaming. This is a reminder for the parents to give money for lunch. Whether you receive a free or discount lunch or not depends on your parents income. If your parents or guardians earn above a certain amount you will not receive a free or discount lunch.

  2. In some way it is their fault. You receive free or discount lunches in many school districts based on the income level of your parents or guardians. I see this stamp as a reminder to those parents or guardians.
