  1. ***** Bernie Sanders was pushing to raise the cap and under his own numbers it would have lasted until 2065.  Even with that, when you run out of money, then what?  Raise taxes again?  That just shows how inefficient the federal government is.  What makes the federal government inefficient is the inability to micromanage, the people not having the ability to control the government, and bureaucracy.   This is why the founding fathers wanted smaller, more local government. Democrats are more guilty of favoring special interest groups than republicans.  Who was the party in charge during the bailouts?  And which party stopped Obama from having another one? Bernie Sanders is a socialist with three homes, think about that. He is a fraud.

  4. Sean dennington The best thing to do is get rid of it.  It is unconstitutional to begin with and a clear example of how federal programs become a waste.

Sean dennington Never said that.  The state and local governments can provide help.  Also, friends and family can help.  The people currently on it now can keep it because drastic changes is something we can't do.  But as a whole it needs to go. For me, if I am in trouble I have friends and family to help. I also can save for retirement.  But, local communities can help.  This is something I never understood about democrats.  They are all about helping the little guy, but their way of doing it is allowing the federal government to have more power to tax and spend other people's money.  Meanwhile, they do nothing themselves and complain when the federal government becomes corrupt.

  6. RobotShlomo Our GDP is comparable to the combine GDP of those 8 countries.  So it makes sense that we spend as much as them combine. Why won't it work to seek help from friends and family?  Oh, wait, I forgot. Liberals don't like to help the little guy at all.  They just pass all their problems to someone else.

  7. RobotShlomo Why are families struggling?  We have been trying these socials programs for decades but things do not seem to be getting better. Maybe it is time for a change. I personally can't speak for Ayn Rand nor do I care.  The problems with the healthcare system, to me, is a result of the payroll tax.  Let me ask you two questions 1. Why do so many employers pay with healthcare insurance as opposed to a higher wage? 2. Why does healthcare insurance equal healthcare?

  9. Actually less than 20% of our budget goes towards the military. We spend more on social welfare programs. And social security is running out of money.
