Sex Ed., like all education, is set up by the state and local level. The federal government has little to do with this. Also, parents should be teaching their kids about sex and should be monitoring their actions while they are kids. Stop relying on the government for everything.

Smaakjeks K, so you support an oppressive government? I am against the federal government because I want the people to actually control the government. That way the government serves the people. You do that by keeping government as local as possible.

Virgin can be interpreted as "young woman" in that time as well.

There is a lot more to it than that, such as income level, education, etc. In some areas of the country abortion can be completely legal and none will happen simply because it can be in an area of higher income.

Leroy, birth control is legal. And many plans cover birth control for health reasons.

Leroy, the push for "abstinence only sex ed" is rare and exists in very few places. I do not agree with it, but to claim it is the norm for the right is simply not true. I lived in a rural, conservative area and we were taught about contraceptives in schools. You idea that republicans are going to go after all forms of birth control prevention is also not true. They just feel that others should not have to pay for it. You say that you feel that republicans think sex is preventable, and I will say that democrats feel that pregnancies are preventable if we simply give people access to birth control. That isn't the case, though, as not using birth control correctly will still lead to pregnancies. It goes both ways.
