  1. A few things 1. KS has mainly been in the top half of GDP growth the past few years 2. You can look at several sites and see that KS does not rank in the top 10 for the worst roads, thus their roads are not bad. If you want to go anecdotal, have been in KS I lived near KS for over 20 years at one point, the Turnpike is awesome. 3. Ranking schools is hard, but nowhere will you see it being ranked last. Also, TX is doing great with republican leadership.
