  5. That "oath" is more tradition than it being anything legal. It is the same as a white coating ceremony. Medical school is a very select field so they have their traditions. The oath is a part of that but nothing is legal about it. It is on the same level as when someone gets their doctorate they get hooded.

  7. GotShot22, Shapiro is a big name on the political right and has debated members in Congress. He isn't a nobody. He is very critical of the new "Bernie wave" of Democrats and has been on the media about it. When he has been on the media others on the left has been critical on what he says. He reached out to AOC to challenge her to a debate to allow her ideas to be exposed to more people and to challenge ideas on the right. She could have politely declined saying she is busy on her campaign which most would have understood making Shapiro look like the fool. Instead she went SJW on him and compared it to "catcalling". That is the maturity level she has. It makes the Justice Democrats look bad and if that is how she acts she is going to be eaten alive in Congress. Imagine when she is challenged in Congress by Ted Cruz and she acts like a child how that would appear.

  10. Futa Nari, the Koch brothers did not admit that medicare for all is cheaper. That study you are referring to made assumptions to give a conservative estimate. Chances are it would cost a lot more. They made assumptions that doctors and hospitals would be willing to take less money and forcibly increasing demand will not increase prices. Also, that number they released was just for public spending and not private. Saying that other countries do single payer and it is cheaper and better is one someone can easily argue against.

  14. Cruz has better things to do than debate an essential nobody like Cenk. Cruz debated Bernie. Plus, calling Cruz a "coward" shows the lack of maturity on Cenk. AOC's response was immature.   16. GotShot22, just because the majority wants them in some opinion poll does not mean their ideas are not radical. Also, if the majority wants their policies why are most justice democrats losing? And why aren't these policies being passed at the local level? Universal healthcare was shot down in Colorado with close to 80% saying no. The fact is that Americans don't support those ideas.

  18. Siedler Joe, saying "fact check" is not really an argument when it comes to debates. Yes, facts are important. But the reason why we have debates is because facts can be interpret in many ways. There are legit opinions on both sides. Simply saying "fact check" is saying that these issues are black and white when they aren't, they are very gray. You bring up "every metric measurable" without realizing the numerous variables involved that influence those metrics. You can't just go off of raw numbers. This is why people support Shapiro. He goes into details on issues and his opinions where people like you say "look at these numbers" while ignoring how complex they really are.
