  1. Shannon Bloom, the 2nd amendment was about individual's rights to own guns, and many judges agree. The 2nd amendment does not say a "trained militia" but a "well regulated militia" which means well prepared. It also says "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

  2. "it is not the courts role to determine that the 2nd amend is extinct" It isn't. The only way an amendment is no longer enforced is by another amendment. As long as it is there the courts have to rule in favor of it.

  3. Australia had one mass shooting, that's it. They never had a gun violence problem to begin with and gun murders were dropping prior to the buy back that only took out around 20 to 40 percent of guns from circulation.

  4. David Hoddle Street to Surry Hils were three years apart. The deadliest shooting was 35, the second was 7. Now compare that to what the US sees. There is a lot to it such as population difference, but again, Australia never had a gun violence problem.

  5. Eric Taylor, it isn't redefining "militia", it is interpreting what that word means. There is a huge difference. Redefining something is writing laws which is not the SC's job.

  6. Evidence shows that the guns make our society safer. Fact is they exist, so allowing law abiding citizens to hold them make our society safer as criminals think that maybe the person they could attack might have a gun. Reality is that the left has little to no facts on this issue. This is why they have to parade teenagers who are over emotional to push their propaganda. This is why they have to relate people like Rubio and the NRA to child murderers.
