I just love how TYT don't understand economics or personal finance at all. They want people to pay more for insurance they don't need. A reason why people get cheaper options is because that is all they can afford. I pay for a cheap option because I can't afford more. When I can I will get a better option. And how is single payer going be funded? We can't fund Obamacare or even get a website running. And when we complain the government drags its feet in fixing it and represses even more. But yet people want single payer? I just can't believe the stupidity of these people.

Ron Warrick I know. What I am saying is that TYT talk like money isn't an issue. People can just afford more expensive health insurance which isn't true. The government can just write another check to pay for Obamacare which it really can't.

Raso719 The first three you mentioned is within the ability of the federal government. The federal government is there for 2 things, deal with foreign affairs and give US citizens the ability to control the government. Military action is foreign affairs and we spend more money avoiding violent conflict then creating it. If we allow the federal government to control our healthcare then we have given the one security blanket we had against government too much power. We are seeing how this is a problem already. Obamacare is disaster but they are in no hurry to fix the website because they have no competition. It is already funded and they have no problem repressing us some more. This country is also not a democracy, at least at the federal level. It was set up to have checks and balances of power where one entity was never to have too much power. Allowing the federal government to control healthcare compared to the states is allowing one entity to have too much power. If the states ran it we would have rights protected from the federal government to change it. At the federal level it won't be so easy.

MUTT1126 When you said Obamacare lowers the deficit I just had to stop. You are so clueless. Obamacare is going to raise prices and raise the debt and deficit. How is the healthcare industry going to account for 30 million new patients? Insurance companies are already raising prices for it. People are not signing up for healthcare because they simply can't afford it. The website is a joke. Three years to make and it is terrible. You will never see this in the private sector and if you did they will fix it because they know that there is another company right down the street. Obamacare is already funded and like any government program when it sucks instead of fixing it they repress you some more. In countries with socialize care we see problems all the time but yet nothing gets fixed. You know why? Because you can't sue the government. You can't go to the next business down the street. Your teenage daughter dies like in the following story http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2486789/Natasha-16-complained-headaches-She-died-13-doctors-failed-diagnose-brain-tumour.html You can't just sue the government. They will just repress you some more. In the US the biggest problem is cost. It isn't rationing of care to where you have to wait months to get it. It isn't that they can't get care all together, it is cost. So even if you socialize system might save money (it won't by the way) the quality of our care will fall apart. Have fun not getting knee surgery or if you can waiting months to get it. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Zakdayak Problem with taxing the rich is this, you place a cap on success so then what is the incentive or working hard and being productive? You max our your productivity as a country which is very unprogressive. A problem of socialize care is that you place too many people in a system when the system can't handle it. Healthcare will be rationed out and that leads to long wait times and poor quality of care. So while it may be cheaper or in some cases "free" it is a lesser quality of product.

Ron Warrick Affordable healthcare for all is doable but the quality will be poor. Simply put, you get what you pay for.
