There are several reasons why teachers quit. One, people perceive the pay as low which in some ways yes due to the amount of work you have to do at home but after years it gets easier. Plus, what job guarantees you a salary and a raise even if you are less qualified then your peers? A big reason why teachers quit is because of the crap they have to do. Turning in lesson plans, taking courses year in and year out. And parents, they are the worse by far.

I agree but that comes back to the parents. When I become a teacher I will lower grades if a student doesn't try or is respectful but parents won't allow that. Honestly, when I become a teacher I want to work at lower income schools because the students there that don't care just don't care but parents are either not involved or are very appreciative. Richer schools have parents who think their kids are the best and it is annoying.
