Right now the democrats only care about power and don't care about the nation. They are insane at this point.

@Kiljaedenas easy. The democrats have been trending that way for years. A big reason why Trump gained so much support is because people were sick of the liberal elites and leftists talking down on them. According to the liberal elites and leftists republicans, and people in red states are a bunch of backwoods, ignorant, uneducated racists and bigots. And when people on the right try to engage with people on the left, the left will just name call and shut down any discussion. To make it worse the left control so many institutions with a large voice like the media, academic, and now sports. People like me became sick of it and liked how Trump was willing to bark back and not back down like other republicans did. During the Trump years democrats became worse. Now all they talk about it either Trump or social issues like racism. Can't talk about economic success, there is none under their control. Can't talk about unity, there is none. Can't talk about lower crime, it is going up. So all they talk about is Trump and social issues. Democrats are failing in the economy and helping the common person, but pat themselves on the back when they promote a gay person to the cabinet, or change the name of a school. Covid really exposed them. Here we are 2 years in where most of the nation moved on and many democrats still push the covid hysteria or strongly politicized it even though polls show that the majority feel they went too far.

@Kiljaedenas in short, liberalism is really a privilege for the elites. Democrats shut down businesses killing jobs and Pelosi, during that time, bragged about her freezer full of ice cream. People struggled to get food for Thanksgiving and Biden celebrates in a home worth millions and makes an announcement there. The people who benefit the most from leftist policies are the rich. And the left keep pushing them more and more as they are insane. Seriously, after covid seeing how many democrats violated their own covid protocols showing off their rich life and privileges, how can you still trust them?

@Kiljaedenas no, he is scared of me. I finally convinced him to have a debate with me and it was on immigration. It started out with the 14th amendment and natural born citizenship. I was arguing against illegal immigration and Prophet drifted the conversation saying that immigrants in the US are more productive than US citizens. I said I agree, that includes all immigrants both legal and illegal where legal ones are typically from Asian or European nations which I support as they came here legally. Or those from Hispanic nations who came here legally are productive as well. I have a problem with illegals. Issue is that they tried to drift the conversation away from illegal immigrants to try to get me to say I hate all immigrants which I don't. I support immigration, I just feel there should be a legal process to do it. And you can't encompass illegal immigrants with legal ones. He ran away from that debate. I am willing to have another one but we will see.

Venus Bloodflow the defense budget is still low compared to the 70s. Define "living wages". On universal healthcare, we are seeing that with covid and look at the mess it created. On climate change what do you want him to do? And same with affordable housing. Biden supported extending the eviction moratorium. He is a radical leftist as him, and the democrats, have no desire to have an actual discussion on issues, have no desire to meet in the middle on the issues, have no desire to admit when being wrong and making changes when needed, have no desire to actually progress our nation but instead looks for power.

So how do you account for it? "you think everyone cares about college sports. " A good portion do. Look up the "Flutie effect" and the enrollment in Boston College. "If it is an investment as you said, they will value the courses more." The investment comes from the fact that you are investing time and money to accomplish a long term goal. If you make college free the investment part goes away. What is the difference between you going to a free college vs someone going to a free public library and reading a bunch of books? Essentially nothing. The onus is on you to educate yourself. Many people can accomplish many tasks with no formal education.

Abortion is a state issue and Trump wanted that along with many on the right, as with most issues. CRT is a legit issue. It came up during covid as many parents saw first hand what their kids were being taught. What rights to LGBTQ person lack? What xenophobia? The right are against illegal immigrants. Crime is going up. "The majority approve of ideas such as Medicare for all, living wages, child care" That is not true. Every attempt to establish universal healthcare at the state level failed. And define a "living wage". The reason why many far left "policies" fail to be established is because they are vague and when more details are exposed as they are being pushed people oppose them.

@knavishknight the civil war was about state rights. Consider the times. Many did not see slavery as bad and slavery was a complex issue at the time. When you think of slavery you think of big plantations with slaves being whipped where many slaves were given meals and a warm place to live. Not saying that is good as they were treated as property, but many slaves were OK with their situation at that time. There are psychological components there. Just like things we do today generations will look at years later and see as foolish. But hey, just cry "racism" when you have no other argument.

@knavishknight times were different then. Not saying what they did was good, but in the 1800s people were OK with having a bunch of kids and living off of the land. Now the majority of people live in the city. Times change. As I said, future generations are going to look back and things we have done and said we were foolish. It is easy for you, over a century later to call people racists but I bet if you were living in the mid 1800s at that time your thoughts would have been different.

@knavishknight Uh you don't have a right to an education or a job. Show me where in the Constitution it says that. The Civil Rights Act, to me, is wrong on that. Forcing private businesses to not discriminate is written nowhere in the Constitution. If you want to go down that route then stop people from discriminating against a business. Easy for you to bully a business around. So again, give me actual rights. Still waiting.

@camwyn256 uh, Trump's tax cuts led to more jobs. Prior to it there was a drop in labor participation. After it labor participation went up and wages still went up. And even with that inflation was still low.

@camwyn256 under Obama we were at rock bottom. Growth was low until republicans took over the House to stop Obama. Even at that the economy was stagnant. As I said, labor participation was low and dropping Under Trump labor participation was going up, and even thought the supply of workers were going up wages did as well. And even with wages going up and unemployment going down inflation. The Federal Reserve was looking to raise interest rates during Trump's presidency but could not as the economy was doing great and inflation was low. That is rare but a sign of a great economy.

As I said, people like you refuse to debate me. I finally convinced Prophet to debate me on an issue and he ran away. I agreed, but that includes all immigrants, both legal and illegal. I feel legal immigrants from Asian and European are very productive and are here legally. I have a problem with illegal immigrants. Even Hispanic immigrants here legally are productive. The problem are illegal immigrants. Prophet tried to either bait me to say I hate all immigrants, which I don't, or is simply confused.

" It's totally not like the NCAA has revenue they can pay athletes with if they don't have to cover tuition anymore. " 100% false. The vast majority don't. The few that do are the major schools like Alabama football where in the situation you want to install will hurt smaller schools as they will get the weakest athletes of the bunch. I though leftists were for the little guy? On Tulsi, I liked her on the fact she was willing to call out other democrats and was focused on going forward and not playing the sick game of politics such as pointless impeachments. So please, explain to me how I have been defeated? Considering how you have no clue how the NCAA functions this should be good.

Get rid of tuition large institutions like Alabama football will get larger and hoard the best athletes where smaller ones will suffer greatly. Just like how free college will make it worthless. Almost anyone can attend. So those who are rich and well off will attend private colleges and will move well ahead of those attending free colleges.

The NCAA division, D I, D II and D III are based on scholarship limits. If you make college tuition free how do you separate the different divisions? K-12 is ran and funded locally. Also, you are talking about children there. With college you are talking about adults. And as I said many times, the value of a college education is the investment part. With college you are investing in yourself. If you make it free the investment part goes away. A lot you learn in college you can learn on your own. You can buy a book on economics, you can buy a book on history. Consider the vast number or musicians that never study music in college. Consider that vast number of business owners that never studied business in college. It is on you to gain knowledge, you don't need college for it. It appears you need someone to spoon feed something to you. "Alabama cannot take every good athlete in the country. Athletes would be able choose a school based on curriculum instead of sport performance. " Uh, yes they would. The scholarship limit prevents them from doing it as of now. You say the athletes will choose based on curriculum, do you think a 5 star recruit goes to Alabama as opposed to Harvard based on curriculum? You don't know much about college athletics which is why your opinion on "tuition free college" is awful. You are ignoring many variables on this issue. As Gov. Hickenlooper said to people like Bernie on the debate stage, people like you want to throw a plan out there and let others pick up the pieces. So Tulsi, a democrat, endorsed other democrats. The problem with these polls is they are national. Pelosi may be hated nationwide, but that does not matter overall. Only people in her district vote for her.
