  2. What you wrote is true. Most do not follow politics. Most do not understand the issues for several reasons such as they don't have time or they don't care to. Stephen Michael Davis has great videos on those situations. A recent one about politics making us stupid is great. Another, and I will have to find it, is that if you look on youtube you will find hour long videos of experts going into great details on complex issues. You also have top 10 videos and silly cat videos. Which gets more views? Most people vote base on what they experience. If they are doing fine they will see no need to change it up. If not they will change it up. This is a big reason why this nation was founded on more local government and less federal government. People go by what they experience. Right now the nation is a mess so, unless the democrats rig the election, republicans are going to win big time in 2022.

  3.  @adlucem9845  the person you are debating with is a communist and said people will always be free to get what they need. So I gave several scenarios. One was if I needed a car can I take their car. He said no, thus I am no longer free to take his car. Or I can just take it, who will stop me? They did not respond. Another was say you have a community that was short supply of insulin for their diabetic citizens. Who gets it then? Who decides who gets what and how much? They said there will be no shortage to start out with, which is simply not true. They then said they can just get it from the community next door as if they are going to give up insulin, especially if they are in short supply. Basically, the guy you are debating with argument falls apart when you start giving real world situations. That is why communism never works.

  4. Stephen Michael Davis has great videos on this. For the left when a progressive wins it is because people like them. But when they lose it is because the election was rigged. Or so the far left claim. In reality, there is more to it than that. Many do not support progressives and their ideas are not popular all around.
