Well, it led to gay men singing about converting children and discussion of sexual orientation in schools.

Uh, not banned, just left up to the states.

@richardherdman2121 " Sexual orientation has always been discussed in public schools. My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Williams, was married to a man. This was not hidden" That is not discussion of sexual orientation.

How does he embrace fascism? If this draft is an actual ruling this gives more powers to the states. How does giving more power to the states, and thus overall the people, lead to fascism?
1
@camwyn256 guess what, states have always decided what is and isn't murder. So what happens next?
1
@deathdealer312 could have fooled me.
1
@223Drone "You are factually wrong as usual since several GOP states have laws that criminalize abortion that go into effect the moment Roe V Wade is overturned" Ok, so where am I wrong?
1
@devonlynch6042 uh, how so? You have given me zero reason why you will take my words with a grain of salt.
1
@FakingANerve the San Francisco gay men choir.
1
@devonlynch6042 so you are avoiding the issue. So someone who watches the NFL and food channels cannot have a valid opinion on issues? You do know that is a logical fallacy?
1
@rosaevee274 "discussion of sexual orientation in schools is good" How so? And at what grade level?
1
@apriljk6557 it isn't a talking point. The reality is that when gay marriage was recognized by the government most conservatives were OK with it and felt like "ok, that's it, you are treated as equals in society, time to move one." But for the gay community that is not enough. They kept playing victim. They kept making false realities and it became annoying to the point members of the gay community were pushing the idea to convert children. And now that song came out and it really disturbed people.
1
@richardherdman2121 "And facts that can never be called invalid." There is more to it than that. You can give two experts the same set of facts and get two legit but difference conclusions.
1
@j0j0dartiste21 "Do you really believe that people can be "converted" into being gay?" Depends, how to people get convinced to join cults? Or why do people stay in abusive relationships?
1
@j0j0dartiste21 "You legit believe that because something is "legal" that means that suddenly decades of history stop happening, huh? Like how you act like as soon as the civil rights act of 69 passed suddenly pelee stopped being racist." How individual people act is beyond the government. All government can do is treat people equally in the eyes of the law. If individual people don't want to that is fine. But yet you claim I do not know what I am talking about.

They never said they won't overturn Roe v Wade.
1
@camwyn256 I did watch the video. I did not hear them say they would not overturn it.
1
@vishg5148 how do I deny reality? Point to me where they said they would never overturn Roe v Wade? They did not. They gave opinions on it, and if you read the draft Alito actually cited many cases and arguments that were in favor of Roe v Wade.
1
@camwyn256 if you read the draft Alito cited many cases and arguments in favor of Roe v Wade, but the same situation was done for other court cases such as Plessy v Ferguson. What the justices were saying is what Alito is saying in the draft, there are many cases to support Roe v Wade, but that doesn't mean it cannot be overturned. And nowhere did they say they will not overturn Roe v Wade. Welcome to legal arguments, this is how it works.
1
@camwyn256 I did. As I mentioned, in the draft Alito mentioned courts cases and arguments in support of Roe v Wade as if it is strongly supported and cannot be overturned. However, he also gave points to overturn it in his 70 page draft I doubt you and others here have read. It is common in law to speak like that, to know both sides of the argument. Nowhere in those hearings did those justices say they will overturn Roe v Wade. They gave their responses the way a typical judge/lawyer does. Point to me where they directly said they would not overturn Roe v Wade? Until you do I am not wrong here. I just understand how lawyers and judges talk.
1
@ergifem doesn't matter, talk to lawyers, in fact, read the actual draft and you will understand how they speak. It is 70 pages long and no pictures so it might be difficult for you, but try to do it.

@TRivera13 what?
