Almost all McDonalds are franchised. The owners simply can't afford higher wages. As for sexual harassment, that is vague. There is no clear line in what is sexual harassment a lot of times. That is why the "training" is vague and is more or less a liability approach as opposed to actual training.

@LittleAl016 how dangerous is working at McDonalds? There are factories where you have to work with lead. It seems the OP simply cannot handle hard work. Sorry, there are far more difficult places to work at. I worked at a restaurant. I got burnt at times with grease burns. At times you deal with stupid co workers. Deal with it. It appears the OP simply is entitled.

@Kehwanna I am not talking smack, I am speaking the truth. The left is insane these days. Look that the comment from the OP, he is complaining about working at McDonalds. There are far harder jobs to work at. If you can't handle working at McDonalds you have a long life ahead of you.

@Spiritfba one, they have limited hours. How many are open 24 hours? Next, the prices are higher overall. Also, they simply have less workers and less locations. So they make up for it with higher prices and less workers/hours.

@moffig1 what do you mean by "super profitable"? Again, almost all McDonalds are franchised. At the corporate level you have to deal with investors. As for sexual harassment, again, that is vague. That is why the training is vague. Most training is simply liability to keep the company off of it.

@kray97 care to give me a source for that? Plus, rape is cut and dry. Along with that, background checks are expensive and there is an argument to be made in giving people another chance.

@Rae Tavia define a "living wage". If these people are alive they are paid a "living wage" by definition.
1
@Rae Tavia you are looking at overall productivity. Not every job in the market has improved in productivity. Also, increase in productivity has led to lower prices in many ways as well. So it isn't as cut and dry as you make it claim.

@xalpacazeu1332 how am I protecting them? I am speaking the truth.

@Rae Tavia look up "skilled bias technological change". Not every job increased in productivity at the same rate. Many jobs did not increase at all. In fact, if you look at unit labor cost in the restaurant business, it is positive. That means that wage increase has outpaced productivity increases in that job sector. Also, increase in productivity also means lower prices all around. Take food for example. The tractor let to greater food productivity. Bottom line, those workers are not producing more. Learn economics, stop being anti science.
1
@Rae Tavia you say root out weak businesses, well, we are rooting out weak workers. That will happen first.

@prophet7885 hey racist, have not heard from you in a while.
1
You must be one of those obese people who can't handle a little bit of hard work.

@LittleAl016 how is it toxic? McDonalds are franchised. If they are toxic that is no the franchise owner, not McDonalds.
