@charleshall3973 define a "fair salary". Also, I have no problem with private unions, I have a problem with crony unionism.

It is called the covid stimulus.

@patchwurk6652 hey, you guys wanted that. You guys supported shutting down jobs and then only giving out a couple thousands in checks for people to live. You voted for that. Now live with it.
1
You sure about that? Chances are they had to keep shareholders happy.
1
@patchwurk6652 ok, if they just leave like that, where will they get a job? Chances are they are low skilled and lazy
1
@ifkensen_3304 it is this, those shareholders is what makes those companies so large to begin with. Without them those companies would be much smaller and thus have less employees. So it is them that leads to paying employees.
1
@ChristophBrinkmann ok, and? You do know there is more to running a company than that?
1
Sure, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Let people who actually want to work work there. Have fun paying bills.
1
@heatherhansen3664 according to FRED the percent of workers working multiple jobs is less than 5%. It was over 6% in the late 90s. Seems to be dropping. And define a "livable wage"
1
@223Drone " The number of people working multiple jobs has actually gone up." I cite FRED stats, you cite nothing. Now bow down.

So only people who work at Home Depot shop there?
1
@jrsydvl7218 not a gotcha. Just showing how the OP has a dumb argument.
1
@223Drone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDPSLb0pXhE Nope, bow down

He isn't wrong. Where do we rank in obesity rates of OECD nations? Also, since covid worker participation rate dropped and also many do have the mentality of they rather just sit at home and have money given to them as opposed to actually working.
1
@GalacticAspen it is because people do not want to work. Why work when government pays for everything?
1
@Charlie_Loves don't care. The fact my CEO is wealthy does not make me poor.
1
@Charlie_Loves I am not poor. I make around $100,000 a year and live in TX, a cheap state to live in. Also, even at that, them being rich does not mean I am poor. Also, in a lot of cases a CEO of a company is the largest shareholder of the company. That leads to how the shares are valued and if investors are going to invest.
1
@Charlie_Loves what is the problem?
1
@patchwurk6652 no, been on PTO lately. Starting tomorrow I will be more quite. In fact, I am considering turning a new leaf in life and avoiding your toxic, closed minded people all together. I am in a position where I can write my own ticket and life. To me, the insanity of the left was one thing, but covid leading to the insane left stripping my life from me and telling me to just shut up and obey without discussion was a breaking point. Luckily I live in TX now, a free state. A state that won't have insane lockdowns. A state that won't strip people's lives away. A state that is reasonable. I will leave you guys alone to be ignorant. To complain that you are poor because someone else is rich when really it is your fault.

@knavishknight define a "living wage". This should be good.
1
@knavishknight "The living wage is the minimum income standard that, if met, draws a very fine line between the financial independence of the working poor and the need to seek out public assistance or suffer consistent and severe housing and food insecurity. In light of this fact, the living wage is perhaps better defined as a minimum subsistence wage for persons living in the United States." Ok, so what is the minimum? is it 4 people living in a studio apartment splitting rents and bills? I have seen people live doing that. Also, I have seen many earning the minimum wage and living. So by definition they are earning a living wage as they are living.
