  2.  @alterego6075  no, there are many studies published in journals like Cell, Nature, Science, BMJ, etc. that show long term immunity. At this point it is this, if you are vaccinated you are safe by all logic. If you are unvaccinated you are taking a personal risk. Time to move on. Stop the tests, stop the masks, stop the hysteria.

  4.  @223Drone  covid 19 was "novel" in the sense a baby is new in human species. Essentially almost all is known about that baby as a whole. Same with this virus. It is similar to other coronaviruses.

  18. Here are the issues. 1. We have been jerked around for months on this. We were told a Trump rally is a "super spreader" event, but a BLM rally is not. Or after Biden was declared the winner you had large crowds celebrating, including one in NY with Schumer there not wearing a mask, and same in Chicago with Lightfoot not wearing a mask. So it begs the question on if the virus is really that dangerous 2. When the Biden team said that even after vaccination we will still be wearing masks and social distancing, people said "what is the point" where many like me who were going take the vaccine now refuse 3. So much information is not presented. Covid deaths are overstated, and after infection long term immunity is developed, so why the massive push to get them vaccinated? They are immune. Huge red flag 4. On us being jerked around, if you really think that us, as a society, submitting to those in power is what is going to stop this hysteria, you are wrong. Many against the vaccine know that the only way to stop this is by just stopping it all together. Stop the mask wearing, stop the vaccine push, stop treating unvaccinated people like second class citizens, etc. As for "ignorance", there is ignorance on both sides. This virus is not that dangerous. At this point it comes down to this. If you are vaccinated you are fine. If not, you are taking the personal health risk just like those who are obese, play football, ski, etc. We end it at that and move on.

  21.  @223Drone  one of my students had a weak immune system. At the age of 18 they were placed on tier 1 and received the vaccine early. I encouraged her to do it. So how am I pro-covid? Because I do not want to waste a vaccine on people who were already infected and now immune?

The argument of denying unvaccinated people care is that they are taking up resources in healthcare due to their action. The same can be said about obese people and smokers. So if the goal is to reduce hospitalizations as a whole go farther, ban obesity and smoking.

  35. To start, yes, there is natural immunity that last years after infection. To me the fact that there is a push to get those people vaccinated is a red flag. Why the great push? Next, the vaccine has some value in that those who are vaccinated and become infected have mild to no symptoms. However, even before the vaccine it was something like over 70% who were infected have mild to no symptoms to begin with. So there are many questions. But yes, after recovery a vaccine is pointless.

Globally, distribution of the vaccine is a challenge. For those who were infected they can wait to help give the vaccines to those who want/need it. 2. I have encouraged many to get the vaccine such as my grandparents, my student who had an immune problem, those who were worried. etc. So tell me, how does anything I say make be pro-covid and anti-vaccination?
