@Mariposa-11-2007 it won't lead to violence. What violence is being committed to trans people? She said it will lead to more violence and then went to suicide rates where suicide is a very complex issue. Many people who are highly respected and accepted in society commit suicide. So it isn't about not recognizing them as she claims, there is way more to it than that.

@melgibson7313 what facts? She said his words will create violence, how? Also, she brought up trans suicide rates as when there are several variables that lead to suicides, not just trans not being recognized. Consider people who have been well respected in life and committed suicide.

She threw out the suicide rate of trans people, there is a strong debate that a lot of that has to do with mental illness and not because they are not recognized.

@trappedinamerica7740 no, he asked about how she treated her students when she started do insults. So when a student has a different opinion than hers does she do insults? I had to deal with that myself at college and it did make me go a little insane, where professors just dismissed someone. So if I were to approach her and challenge her stat on suicide rates and trans people saying it is arguably more of a mental disorder, and there is evidence in that on suicides as a whole, how will she react? Most likely call me a transphobe.

@terrystevens3998 conservatives are not trying to outlaw anyone. They are bringing up points on the trans issue on how one, the left make such a strong effort to shove a group of people to the front of the line that make up less than 1% of the population, and two, there is a strong argument for a mental health disorder. Take this woman here, can a man get pregnant? She is saying a transman can, well, is that a man? What is a transman? And is abortion about women's rights? There are so many contradictions on the left and the man exposed it from this woman and she just resorted to insults. And her stat of suicide rates of trans, there are two problems there. One, again, trans make up less than 1% of the population, their stats will be skewed. And two, there is the mental illness argument to be made. As of today there is no correlation between recognizing and "accepting" trans an suicide rates. Just like many success people in live committed suicide, it is a mental illness issue. For example, why did Robin Williams commit suicide? Well respected actor, what was so bad about his life? Maybe suicide is a bit more complicated than "not being accepted".

@terrystevens3998 it isn't convincing. Suicide is a mental issue. You have seen many very successful people commit suicide. Robin Williams committed suicide, a well respected actor by many. Chris Cornell did as well, well respected singer. It is similar to how some of the most creative and intelligent people around are alcoholics. Why? Because it is a mental issue and far more complicated than her saying they are not recognized.

@CrowTR0bot they are not being demonized. They are being questioned. When you are a man but claim you are a woman, that is somewhat concerning as you are most likely delusional. Just like when someone experiences hallucinations we just don't say they are OK, we give them help. Also, even at that, most on the right do not care as is. What annoys them is that we live in a hyper individualistic society where everyone has to be special. And when you are a trans person with nothing else going for you you end up announcing it to the world as if that makes you special Most do not care. Just live your life and don't rub it in our faces that you are trans.

Really, by how she acted I am not surprised. Berkley is not that great of a university. There is a reason why many businesses in the US hire students based on their accomplishments and not what school they go to. Berkley is just an expensive school for the liberal elites to go to.

Also, her students not acting like that would have ether been them being dumb and agreeing with her or them simply keeping their mouth shut, keeping their GPAs and moving on. I was in the latter of students and that is the advice I give them. Keep you GPA and move on from crazy leftists in academics like that.

@beruthlessfordemocracy3203 you clearly missed my point. That argument of tans having high suicide rates is because they are rejected from society. My argument is because of mental illness. As we see people who have been well respected in life and loved still commit suicide. Why? Because of mental illness. With trans people the argument is mental illness, not because they are accepted in society. If all it took was accepting them in society then why do people who are accepted and loved in society still commit suicide?
