@hopeintruth5119 ok, I have no problem with that. For a minor the kid's parents/guardians should know. Like anything else. Like how parents have access to their kids grades until they become an adult and go to college at which that point, via FERPA, parents do not have access to their kids' grades when they are in college as an adult. So, where is the issue? Does allowing parents to have access to their kids' grades when they are in K-12 means anti-education? These are minors. Also, you are more or less supporting the talking point by the right that the left wants to give gender reassignment surgery to kids.

@hopeintruth5119 so freedom of religion is bad? There are foster homes that are ran by religious organizations. They have their religious freedom at that point. You should support freedom of religion which is actually in the Constitution.

@hopeintruth5119 the left does. It is discussed a lot. Even at that, it should be brought up because where is your stopping point? At what point do you think we stop on this trans issue? Some will keep going with wanting to do surgery on kids. This is the whole thing with the LGBTQ+ issue. Gay people fought to get gay marriage. Many on the right ended up not caring and it passed. Now gays can have their marriage be recognized by the government. But now that is not enough for them. They needed to rope in the trans people and fight some other issue, such as allowing kids to decide they are not the sex they are born with. Or giving Dick Levine a woman of the year award. For many, it stopped at gay marriage. But now where does it stop for you? "The left believes that a child should get guidance and care from their parents, doctors, and psychologist for the best foot forward for them" I just had someone express concerns that a law in TX has it so doctors are required to tell the parents of a minor if they are receiving gender reaffirming care. So it seems like some on the left do not want the parents involved. "Which Republicans has tried to outlaw in multiple states." That is not true. There is a lot more to it than that. And that is why i am here, to actually give the reality of the situation.

If a part of that is a religious group that runs an adoption home and they do not want to adopt to a gay couple then so be it. Do I agree with their actions? No. But I 100% support freedom of religion. Government forcing those adoption agencies to allow gay couples to adopt violates their freedom of religion as an establishment. Separation of church and state is not a thing. " It is all religions to be protected --Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, pagans, etc. and yes, even atheists." And you just contradicted yourself. You are now saying religion needs to be protected. Well, allowing religious organizations to refuse adoption to gay couples is doing just that.

Exactly. First it was LG, then LGB, then it expanded to almost every letter in the alphabet with a +. And the rainbow flag when from the rainbow to a bunch of colors. When does it stop? This is a problem people have with that community. They wanted gay marriage, many on the right were completely fine with that. Now we went from gay marriage to drag shows for kids with men wearing thongs.

Next, they are still a minor. They can't vote, they can't drink, they can't join the military, they can't smoke, they can't own a hand gun. They can't do a lot of things adults can do. So there is that.

Mike clearly does not understand who conservatives feel about gays. Conservatives do not hate gays. They really don't care if you are gay. They get annoyed with gays use their sexuality as an advantage, such as getting a job as a diversity hiring. They are also annoyed how gays are becoming more aggressive in advertising they are gay. And the trans issue is a slap in the face of gays along with women. Where does the alphabet group stop? LGBTQ+? What is the plus? It is becoming insanity.

But hey, I will roll with that. You got gay marriage. And guess what, many on the right were OK with it, especially the younger crowd. That is why the only time you really hear about the gay marriage issue it is from those on the left, or some older person on the right. Those on the right who are younger don't care. The issue is that fine, you got gay marriage. But now there is no stopping point. Many gay people are using the fact that they are gay as their top identity. Not what skill set they have, or what type of person they are. But the fact they are gay is their number one point they want to advertise. Pete Buttigieg gets a cabinet position and the media, instead of talking about his qualifications, they praise the fact that he is gay. They called him the first gay member on the cabinet. They completely ignore Richard Grennell who worked for Trump. When Richard was hired there was no big announcement that he was gay because guess what, those on the right do not care.

No real actual argument, no evidence, no examples, just insults. Being blunt, it is people like Mike why so many do have a problem with the LGBTQ+ community. When someone like him is completely rude and refuses to have a discussion on a complex issue, people like me, who is a moderate on the issue, basically say "fine, screw your, you are on your own" when you really need moderates on your side.
