  1. The guy in this video is an idiot. Very few earn welfare. So this bill will lead to companies no longer hiring people on welfare. Also, businesses try not to raise prices as doing so means less customers. But if they have to they will. This guy failed economics.

  2. Hunter, it depends on what you mean by "welfare". As a whole the minority receive welfare. Amazon is a corporation that makes almost $0 in profits, that is why they pay little taxes. It is arguable if corporations should be paying federal taxes at all. We need to lower taxes. Uh, a lot of people look for ways to not pay taxes. I do it myself and I earn $23,000 a year.

  3. I worked for Amazon, the job was not bad. People who work there don't even need a high school diploma. What kind of job do you expect people to get when they can't even finish high school?

  4. Labor can be around 1/3 of a company's expense. So right away you are showing your lack of understanding of business. For your burger joint example, you are making the assumption that demand will stay the same with a price increase. It won't. You may pay more, but I won't. Also, many businesses rather cut hours as opposed to raise prices. Take two scenarios with your burger joint. Say that burger joint is open from 10 AM to 12 AM. They may decide to be open from 10:30 AM to 10 PM now cutting 2.5 hours down. Or say they are a franchise with 10 restaurants in a city. They may cut down from 10 to 7 closing down 3 shops. Fact is there is a lot to it and what Bernie is doing is a gross simplification of a complex issue. Even at that most who are poor don't work full time to begin with. Only around 2% of full time workers collect welfare.
