What far right garbage?
1
@ajwasp3642 no, Lou G has a point. Consider the recent loan forgiveness. Those praising it are failures in life.

The best educated kids have parents who help them in education. Too many leftists, like usual, what other people to do the work for them.
1
@jamescampbell6728 yes I do. And those kids often fall behind. I see that as teachers are not doing their job or don't care. Covid showed to me that so many teachers, and especially the teacher unions and school boards don't care about the kids, especially the at risk kids. Remote learning did a lot of damage to at risk kids and teachers, teacher unions and school boards did not care. Instead of them pushing to open schools for in person learning the pushed to close down schools. And if schools were open they wanted masks.

@ericarogers3053 source for what? I written two comments.
1
Teachers are resigning for the same reason why many are resigning overall. They rather retire early after experiencing the dumb covid protocols. Why deal with the BS in the workforce when you have politicians, mainly on the left, who does not care about you.
1
Teachers are eligible to have a lot of their loans forgiven.
1
Lately the kids are going through hard times and teachers are doing nothing to fight back. Wearing masks is hard on kids. Doing remote learning is hard on kids as well, especially at risk kids. Now how many teachers fought back saying the virus is not dangerous and kids need to get back to schools with no masks?
1
@12inter88 I would like to see a source for that. And even if that is true, they are government workers. The people pay them, so that is not really a bad thing.
1
There were not demonizing teachers, they were demonizing teacher unions and the school boards.
1
Teachers work part time overall. They work 180 days out of the year. Now compared that to the actual workforce.
1
@Cancellator5000 teaching is a part time jobs. Almost every holiday off, summer off, weekends off. What other job gives you that? Teachers hardly work. They rip lesson plans online or out of a book. Many do not prep their classroom. When they attend an event it is during the school year and a sub takes their place. I get dress in the morning knowing I am going to a job that I am proud to have and pays me well.
1
@heroicdosedo yep, and I listen to Goodbye Horses while wearing makeup and doing a special dance.

@newaccount2970 I have a PhD in physical chemistry and an MBA. I am sure I am well educated and know what I am talking about. During grad school I was a substitute on the side for extra money.
1
@12inter88 are there teachers that go above and beyond others? Sure. But most do not. During graduate school I was a substitute teacher so I saw first hand how teachers act. Yes, most rip lesson plans online. I studied education for a year and stopped when I realized I did not want to teach. When I was told to create lesson plans I did not know what to do. People just told me to look online. Being a teacher is a part time job.

You bring up thinking for yourself. I find that ironic because I see the left just do what the liberal elites tell them to do. Covid is a great example. The liberal elites told you to freak out over a virus that was basically the flu and you people did..
1
How do you teach climate change? Do you teach it as some major threat? Or do you teach it as something we know little about, and we should not freak out, and there are many factors involved making it a very complex issue.
1
@john670 there is a lot of doubt in that. In fact, climate scientists like Mike Hulme and Myles Allen, the latter who works for the IPCC, oppose such wording. What makes you think climate change is a major threat? The climate has been changing for over 4 billion years, but here we are. And for decades I heard that climate change is a major threat. If climate alarmists had their predictions correct we would be under water, on fire and iced over right now. Being blunt, if that is how you teach climate change you are a great example of what people do not like about teachers.
1
Ok, what is your point?
1
@robertpresley1503 "You have to have an education to educate others" Not really. Lots of people are highly educated and can't educate anyone.
1
What is the difference between gender and sex? This ought to be good.
