@Gutlard slavery is more about using people from outside the culture. That is why it occurred with all different races. Also, our nation has a history of bigotry to all people of all races. Look at how white Irish immigrants were treated.

The issue is that anti slavery laws should not see color. Also, all throughout history there were slaves of many colors. Many white Europeans were enslaved in the past in North Africa, for example. Slavery is not innately racist. The concept of slavery always existed. Typically, those who were enslaved were outsiders.

The problem with CRT is that it assumes that people were discriminated purely on race. It is mainly on culture. Look at how the white Irish immigrants were treated when they came to the US. They were discriminated against as well.

As a whole it isn't. Throughout history slaves of many colors existed. Typically they are outsiders from a particular culture. For example, an article out of OSU suggested that many white Europeans were enslaved in Africa.
