@ramonserna8089 I said Biden wants to spend more.
"BIden wanted to spend more but luckily the senate stood in his way. "
Direct quote even with the typo.
The vaccine "works" in the sense it can help the elderly and the sick from having worse symptoms, maybe. Still not enough data. It does not work to justify a mandate as it does not stop the spread. That was an argument made against the OSHA mandate in that if the vaccine does not stop the spread what is the point? Look at recently with omicron, NYC has basically a full vaccine mandate with the vaccine passports and recently saw record cases. And masks do not work. The data is clear at this point. So how did I contradict myself? To add, on masks, Biden installed a mask mandate day 1 for federal property. What did he do later? He did a photoshoot with his family at the Lincoln Memorial without a mask, and neither did his family. Or no day two while signing executive orders he took off his mask, coughed in his hand, gave a speech and without washing his hands he starting signing the orders and handed the pens and documents to a staffer, again, without disinfecting anything, without wearing a mask and them being less than 6 feet away.
So where am I wrong? How did I contradict myself? Please tell.

@ramonserna8089 not enough data to show if vaccine works. They are safe, but do they work? Not enough data. Some data suggest it reduces the symptoms. However, is that because of the vaccine or because of some combination of the virus never being that dangerous to begin with and natural immunity from prior infection that was not detected?
"USA under Trump had more deaths than China, Mexico and Canada. "
Every nation reports deaths differently, Dr, Birx admitted that from the beginning and now the CDC is saying they should reconsider the numbers as over 75% of those dying with covid had at least 4 comorbidities. Someone dying in their 90s with cancer that happens to have covid is not a covid death, but it was being listed as one to increase the numbers and so hospitals can make money. Covid deaths are vastly overstated based on many objective measures. But again, if you want to play that route, we are comparing Trump vs Biden here. Biden, even with a vaccine, a year worth of data, more masks and ability to test, there were more covid related deaths. That is why now Fauci and the CDC are changing the goal posts to try to make Biden look good.
Under Trump the economy was booming, the nation was going strong. The only people who were threatened by him were the elitists. Noticed how they could never attack his record so instead attacked his personality and called him a racist? Because his record was strong.

@ramonserna8089 again, you are saying that I either have to support, 100% what someone says or not. You are making it black and white. What I am pointing out is that Dr. Birx, who many were following at the beginning before she stepped down, was saying it was hard to compare data with other nations because of how every nation reports covid data differently.
Under Trump the economy was booming. It only fell because the nation was literally shut down. Many states, especially those ran by democrats, literally told businesses to shut down and not function. You can't blame Trump on that. Prior to that unemployment was low, worker participation was up, productivity was up, wages were up. In fact, with a strong economy interest rates should have went up and the Federal Reserve was ready to increase them. However, they did not because high productivity meant low inflation.
Under Biden we have record high inflation, low job growth, a bad supply chain, low productivity, low worker participation.

@ramonserna8089 it is hard as every nation has different testing capabilities, different standards, different economies, different culture, etc. You bring up asian nations, they have higher life expectancy rates to begin with as they are generally healthier. The US is, by far, number 1 in obesity rates of OECD nations. That plays a role. You bring up stronger lockdowns, the US is a nation that takes more risks, that is our culture. Look up Hofstede cultural dimensions and uncertainty avoidance. It is lower in the US compared to Asian nations meaning we take more risks. It is in our history in that people were willing to load up their wagons and migrate across the nation taking on many diseases in the past. Or load up on a big ship and go across an ocean taking on many diseases at the time. So there is that. In the US we have a history of disregarding diseases to expand in life or society.
As I said, covid death totals in the US are vastly overstated. The CDC recently said that over 75% of dying with covid had at least 4 comorbidities. Basically someone dying from cancer who tests positive for covid is listed as a covid death when really cancer killed them. The CDC said they were going to look at the numbers again.
Peter Schiff makes a lot of predictions. Inflation happened because people were told to stay home and not produce and were given money at the same time. That causes inflation. Zimbabwe did something similar to that in printing money years ago. They have a trillion dollar bill that is essentially worthless. If you look at Biden now with massive inflation and low productivity he wants to give out even more money with BBB. That will make things worse. That is a leftist position, give money away disregarding the economic trends. Trump allowed for states and the free market to do as they please which they adjust to the market trends much better.
Biden also wants to overstep Congress and use federal agencies to get his way which is another leftist quality. Leftists want to do away with checks and balances and create a large centralized government. Biden wants that.

@ramonserna8089 taking risks does not mean one is stupid. Many successful people take risks. The US became a powerful, rich nation because people took risks. As I said, people were willing to load up on a big boat centuries ago, taking on diseases to go across an ocean to colonize the US. People expanded the US by loading up wagons and going across the land taking on diseases. That is why so many in the US are not concerned about this virus. Our ancestors in the past took on diseases far deadlier. In fact, our ancestors will be laughing at the people now freaking out over covid with such a high survival rate.
The CDC initially said the vaccine will prevent infections, they were wrong. And yes, the CDC did say that over 75% of those dying with covid had at least 4 comorbidities.
"Trump had the chance to correct the economy and didnt instead he just kept the same obama policies and took credit "
He did the exact opposite of Obama and the economy boom. It only became bad because the nation was shut down. The economy was literally shut down. You can't blame that on Trump. In fact, for so many saying he was a fascist, he allowed the states to decide how to handle covid. Many shut down for months destroying the economy.
Most economies have not recovered.
The left want a centralized government.
I never said the vaccine works. I am saying it has potential. But Biden wanting someone vaccinated is none of his business. My health is of none of his concerns. It is between me, my family and friends, and my doctor.
"While I usually respect other people right to die of stupidity, in this case due to the contagious nature of the virus it is on everyone interest to keep otherwise darwin award recipients alive."
If you are vaccinated, and the vaccine works, why are you concerned about the virus now? You are protected. That is what is also irritating people. Forcing the vaccine on others is another leftist policy.

@ramonserna8089 the US grew rich because it is a free nation. Sure, after WWII there is arguments to be made that we weren't rebuilding and others were. However, the US being a free market nation of people willing to take risk made it rich.
Trump is opposite of Obama. How was he the same? And which economists? And why do you assume I listen to Carlson and Hannity? When Trump was president and the economy was booming I happen to be taking economic courses for my MBA. So I was listening to actual economists.
Vaccinated or not, still, only old/sick people are dying from covid. As early on before the vaccine existed over 90% of covid deaths were people with comorbidities averaging around 2.
The left does want a centralized government. Listen to Bernie. He wants to increase the federal tax codes, increase federal regulations, increase the federal government.
Uh, with your example on healthcare there is a lot of variables. When I was seeing a doctor she placed me on a medication for depression. We talked for weeks before we did it and afterwards we did follow ups as it was not guaranteed to help. There was the potential. It ended up working for me but not for a co-worker. Same with a mechanic. If you bring in an old car sure, the mechanic may fix the weird noise in your engine, but something else may come up. So yes, they may potentially fix it.
Which anti science nut jobs? You mean leftists who still feel masks work? You mean leftists who still freak out over a virus that has a very low death rate?
