Define world peace to start. As in, you say get along. OK, how? Who steps down? Who decides to make sacrifices? To some getting along means others submitting.

True. What makes it worse is that Mike offers no solutions.

@Kain5th the constant fear mongering is a reason why so many have tuned out when it comes to issues like climate change. Myles Allen of the IPCC warned against doing radical messages such as placing a timeframe on climate change. When people go extreme and, overtime, the extreme does not happen, people become skeptics and tune out.

@cassiusdhami9215 you are the problem now. When people have some level of doubt you call them a denier. I have a lot of doubt when it comes to climate change. I don't deny it. I have doubt in the actual threat. Mike Hulme and Myles Allen have warned against the drastic fear mongering as it tunes people out. We saw a similar situation with covid where someone like Fauci just fear mongered the entire time and people tuned out and moved on. Positive news is needed as it motivates people to keep going. When you are just negative all the time people tune out and move on.

The issues with climate change is there is so much that is not known. Such as, how much does man play a role? Is current climate change a threat? And if so, what can we actually do?

True. If Trump acted even 1/4 of how Biden has been acting during his presidency the media will go crazy. Also, Biden ran saying he was going to eliminate the virus. So what happened?

@joshuajames6481 my job required me to be vaccinated.
1
@joshuajames6481 The vaccine is not working. NY has one of the highest vaccination rates in the US and NYC has vaccine passports. NY is seeing record number of cases.
1
@joshuajames6481 also, the virus is not going anywhere. It is here to stay. If it is that dangerous many parts of the nation that are wide open will be seeing high death rates. Where I live at now people hardly wear masks, they do not socially distance, people are fine. Fact is we need to move on.
1
@joshuajames6481 there is little evidence that the vaccine reduces symptoms as there is no control to compare to. Also, covid was never that dangerous to begin with. Most had mild to no symptoms. So how do I not understand the point of the vaccine? Other vaccines prevent you from getting infected to begin with. "And secondly, red states with lower vaccination rates and a comparable population size like Texas and Florida have far higher cases, hospitalizations and deaths than New York" That is 100% false. A Harvard study showed there was no correlation between vaccination rate and infection rates.
1
@joshuajames6481 right now NY is seeing record case numbers despite a high vaccination rate and vaccine passports in NYC.
1
@joshuajames6481 also, if this virus is so dangerous, places like FL and TX, and a lot of the midwest that is wide open would be seeing massive death rates. They aren't.
1
@joshuajames6481 it is entitled "Increases in COVID-19 are unrelated to levels of vaccination across 68 countries and 2947 counties in the United States"
1
@qjtvaddict did I say do nothing? As is technology is getting better and is reducing emissions. What we can't do is freak out over something that has so much doubt to it.
1
@LittleAl016 how so?
1
@LittleAl016 what is the solution? Or should there even be solutions? Again, we don't know how much man plays a role nor do we know if current climate change is an actual threat. Basically, how can you have a solution when you do not even know if you have a problem to begin with?
1
@LittleAl016 what?
1
The issue with climate change is that there is so much doubt. How much do man play a role? Is current climate change an actual threat? And if so, what can we actually do? This is why so many on the left who push this climate change propaganda have a hard time getting actual scientists to speak on their behalf as there is so much doubt.
