How many teachers and kids have died from covid these past 2 years? Now compare that to the damage done on kids struggling with remote learning.
2
@ifkensen_3304 a vaccine exists. We need to move on.
2
@ifkensen_3304 ok, and? If you are vaccinated why should you be scared?
2
@rudeboyjohn3483 every other school district is open, most with no restrictions. They are doing fine.
2
It is about control overall by the left. And for the followers they just blindly follow without question. Many parts of the nation have moved on. If covid was that dangerous the death rates of those areas would be high. It isn't.
2
They get hands on instruction in person first.
2
Yep. Test scores are falling right now as kids are not learning.
2
@josh043p6 how many kids lack internet access? How many kids know how to use a computer? What about kids who need special assistance?
2
Being fair, with all the crime in Chicago under Lightfoot, I wouldn't want to leave my home either.
2
@animenopaawaa most have moved on. Where I live things are wide open and people are doing fine.
2
@duncdunc76 exactly. On top of that, a vaccine exists. If you are vaccinated what are you afraid of at this point?
2
@duncdunc76 there are precautions to take, but at some point they do more harm. Compare it to driving. Maxing speed limits to 15 mph will lead to zero traffic accidents. Now consider the damage it will do to society. It will be worse. So, us, as a society accept some level of traffic accidents and deaths to have higher speed limits. As with education, kids are falling behind and are going to be worse off years from now due to lack of education. Test scores are falling right now.
2
@duncdunc76 and remote teaching is causing more harm overall. That is my point on the driving example. In society someone is going to be harmed. There will be damage of some kind that will happen. We try the best to do the least damage out there. Remote learning does more harm for kids and society.
2
Remote learning is doing more damage. At risk kids such as special needs kids and those in poverty are being harmed the most here. We need to end remote learning.

@LittleAl016 many kids lack internet and computers. How do you help them? What about special needs kids who need assistance?
1
@LittleAl016 so you have no answers.
1
@LittleAl016 oh, yeah, that's right. You can't think for yourself.

@danhalo1405 what pandemic?
1
@LittleAl016 what wave? Of cases? Deaths are down. Record cases but no increase in deaths. Time to move on.
1
@LittleAl016 as I said, covid deaths are overstated. What was the health of those individuals? How many die a day on average to begin with?
1
@LittleAl016 I gave evidence. Someone in their 90s with a long list of health problems having covid is not a covid death. It is a death from life.
1
@LittleAl016 i did. Again, 40% of covid related deaths are nursing home patients. According to a UCSF report entitled "Social Support is Key to Nursing Home Length of Stay Before Death" Where 50% of new nursing home patients die in 5 months. These people are of high risk of death to begin with. You are making it seem like that prior to covid no one ever died.
1
@LittleAl016 how so?

1
@LittleAl016 sorry that the truth about your great nation hurts you
1
@LittleAl016 who is Hakim? The person I pointed to is from N. Korea, she grew up there. She was sold into sex slavery to escape the nation
1
@LittleAl016 as she pointed out, many people in N. Korea are short because of malnutrition.
1
@LittleAl016 I also already debunked Hakim.
1
How many teachers have actually died?
1
@IshtarNike so when does this all end?
1
Most Title I schools receive federal funding.
1
What pandemic?
1
This is why the left cannot be taken seriously. They will complain about wealth and income inequality. However, kids who are falling behind with remote learning are those in poverty and rich kids are pulling ahead where down the road, guess what? The poor kids will remain poor and have little chance to break out of poverty now.

@UCkUTfszz4CcwfGGMxxldQIQ doesn't matter. I moved on, crowded bars where I live. Crowder stores, hardly any masks. You are fine to keep hiding in your basement.
1
@inkryption07 I seen the science and facts. The virus is not that dangerous. We have 2 years of data now showing that. Time to move on. The covid restrictions caused more damage.
1
@LittleAl016 nations report deaths differently.
1
@animenopaawaa I value my life. Because of that I am going to enjoy it and not live in fear. If you are scared then you can hide. That is the point. Also, we have a vaccine now, which was never guaranteed at the beginning. Time to move on. If you don't want to then you can hide.
1
@duncdunc76 doesn't matter. Where I am living bars, restaurants, stores, etc. are all crowded with hardly wearing masks. Many areas of the nation is like that. If the virus is really that dangerous the death rate of those areas would be very high. It isn't.

1
@animenopaawaa there is always a trade off in life. For me I looked at the risks. I feel the virus is not that dangerous thus I went back to normal along with many others around me. If covid kills me at least I was enjoying life during the time.
1
@animenopaawaa life is full of danger. Since when did people become so scared of getting sick? Since when did people get scared of getting the sniffles?
1
@duncdunc76 I know there are different people out there. My sister likes working at home. I hate it. At that point I looked at the scientific studies and the risk and decided to move on.
1
@duncdunc76 also, every other school district is open across the nation with no problem. You talk about scientific studies. We are going on 2 years of data. Covid is not a threat for kids and for adults there is a vaccine. Also, again, remote learning does more damage.
