And fire these doctors. Many are not taking the vaccine for legit reasons. These doctors are crying because they do not want to do their job.
3
Or that the doctors are cry babies and need to be fired. Also, now they walk out? Why not walk out because of our high obesity rate?
2
@LittleAl016 over 70% placed on ventilators for covid were obese. And obese individuals are at higher risk of health issues that require hospitalizations.
2
@LittleAl016 "I'm pretty sure that the California governor is vaccinated at this point." The vaccine did not exist at that point.
2
@223Drone "Given how he keeps getting things that are basic knowledge wrong there is simply no way he's a PhD." What basic things? Again, you are counting all covid deaths as the same and you are focusing on only covid and no other variables. That is an anti science as it gets. That is part of the reason so many are fed up with this situation and refuse to take the vaccine. Decades from now when people ask me about this "pandemic" I will say "it was horrible, old people were dying". Tell me, does that sound like a "pandemic" or simply the norm?
2
@TheBlazersfan22 yep, and that is why so many are pissed off when it comes to this virus.
1
@LittleAl016 70% is high bud. Just like 94% of covid deaths had pre existing conditions. And the average age of covid deaths was over 80 year old.
1
@LittleAl016 nope. Those are people in bad health to begin with. Please, learn science.
1
@LittleAl016 I just received my PhD in physical chemistry. I can actually understand numbers and realize what is going on. Sorry, but seeing the trend that sick people are those who are dying and experiencing severe symptoms is not correlation. It is causation.
1
@ST-xw3cv ever been to a psych ward? They let you have nothing.
1
@223Drone it is Roe v Wade. If you cannot get the actual court name right you have no room to talk. But again, you want many across the world to die of covid as you are a racist.
1
@gordonstrong5232 they were. Hospitals and ICUs are always near capacity. Walk in one sometime, most patients are obese. Even with covid, over 70% of those placed on ventilators were obese.
1
@223Drone I know you are a racist, but you do not have to be one to a degree to support people of other nations dying.
1
@223Drone tell me, why are we still doing these stupid things of testing, wearing masks, etc? If you are vaccinated you are safe. What are you scared of? Oh, wait, a racist like you will never answer any of my questions.
1
@LittleAl016 I received a PhD by having 7 publications, writing a dissertation, and defending it. Something a racist like you will not know.
1
@LittleAl016 nope. Remember, Biden said he needed to pick a woman or color for VP. How is that not racist and sexist?
1
@j0j0dartiste21 I can actually read and understand the studies and numbers. That is why when people just start throwing out numbers I can see through their BS.
1
@LittleAl016 "Which I'm not ignoring. But it's still frustrating to see someone think of that instead of COVID as the cause." They are people of high risk of death to begin with. That is the point. You making it sound like covid is the only cause of death when for almost all who died it was a collection of issues. Almost all who died would have been dead anyways based on many objective measures. Someone in their 90s with a list of health issues dying with covid is not a covid death. It is simply a death of a frail person which is normal.
1
@LittleAl016 covid is not the only cause. Obese people go to hospitals for many reasons all the time. The fact that over 70% of covid patients placed on ventilators were obese shows a common trend. According to the article entitled "Recognizing Obesity in Adult Hospitalized Patients: A Retrospective Cohort Study Assessing Rates of Documentation and Prevalence of Obesity" From 2018, of the patients studied, 66% of them were overweight or obese. Again, that is a common trend.
1
@LittleAl016 I cited a peer reviewed article.
1
@whyispinkysoinsane7898 I cited a paper saying that obese people making up higher rates of hospitalizations. If people lose weight they reduce the risk of many health issues, not just covid.
1
@whyispinkysoinsane7898 I am saying obese people have higher hospitalization rates. This isn't just related to the virus. But if you want to go that route, over 70% of those placed on ventilators for covid were obese. That is a trend one can't ignore. People being physically fit will alleviate someone's chances of being hospitalized.
1
@whyispinkysoinsane7898 "you cannot prove that they are all hospitalized just because they are fat. " Never said I could. But what is true is that when you are obese you are at high risk of hospitalization to begin with. Thus, being fit will reduce your chances of many healthcare ailments, including covid.
1
@223Drone " it's well known fact that the vast majority of people hospitalized with covid are unvaccinated." I am talking about prior to the vaccine. "Except that's not true as anyone can catch covid." I agree, but obese people have a much higher hospitalization rate, that is my point.
1
@whyispinkysoinsane7898 and this is why you just mock me as opposed to debate. I never once said that being fit does not prevent infection. Anyone who is not immune can get infected. But being physically fit also reduces your chances of getting symptoms and hospitalization. Again, over 70% placed on ventilators were obese. If obesity did not play a role the number will not be that high. The obesity rate in the US is around 42%. If obesity did not play a role in hospitalizations around 40% of those placed on ventilators would be obese, not over 70%
1
@223Drone "You fail to understand that more unvaccinated people means more opportunities for covid to mutate " That is not a problem in the US. Many nations have less than 10% vaccinated. I gave my idea on improving that. It was for any who were infected for them to wait in taking the vaccine here in the states and distribute it globally. All you did was mock me when I said that. So it is on you who wants the virus to spread and mutate.
1
@223Drone last school year 30 states had complete sport seasons. Complete fall one, winter one, and spring one. Many with fans in the stands. There were no spike of deaths of the kids from covid. If there were many freaking out about covid would bring it up. So kids are not at risk.
1
Those who go to med school do not worry about the cost of college. Most rack up huge debt as there is no limit and pay it off easily as doctors make a lot of money.
1
@youtou9407 if med school was free there will be no value in it. We will be turning out worthless doctors causing more problems.
1
Whatever happened to the hippocratic oath? Fire these people.
1
@salomaogomes7311 about what? This hysteria has gone on far enough. We stop covid by stop talking about it and going back to normal.
1
@LittleAl016 this all started out by flattening the curve. A vaccine was never guarantee. If you think getting people vaccinated will end this hysteria you are wrong. And again, when infected you have long term immunity. So why get vaccinated if you are in that camp?
1
So it wasn't our high obesity rate that led to this? These doctors are hacks. Fire them all.
1
That has always been the case. And it would be worse under a M4A system.
1
Chances are those who do not get vaccinated become infected and have long term immunity where those who have been vaccinated will keep taking booster shots.
1
That is a rabbit hole you do not want to go down. What about deny people who are obese? Obesity is an issue in this nation and obese people usually require more healthcare.
