No as this is an issue of what is being taught in schools. Compare it to if parents wanted to stop schools from playing football and teaching it. Same thing.

@hopeintruth5119 and schools and teachers won't have a prejudice? What this bill is doing is allowing parents to have more say in what is taught in schools. Noticed how this is really taking off along with CRT? When kids were told to attend schools remotely many parents saw what is really taught in their schools and want to change it.

@shinkiro403 and your comment is a reason why bills like this are being passed. You feel parents don't know how to raise their kids and thus some government entity should.

@RadicalVelvet To start, some have lobbied in the past to get rid of sports in schools. While the chances of it gaining traction is low, it has occurred. My point is that parents should have a say in what is taught in schools and how they function. This is what this bill is doing. It is not preventing any kind of expression. Kids can still express themselves. Many things are prevented from being taught in schools or at certain grade levels. Do you think 1st graders should be taught sex education? They aren't now because they are too young to understand. Also, consider how kids typically do not see sexuality, race or other groups. They typically see people. There is an argument to be made that teaching them sexuality at such as young age can lead to bad results. But overall, this does not violate free speech.

@RadicalVelvet a better comparison is that many schools ban teachers from teaching politically sensitive issues in a bias way. Or in how many do not want religion to be taught in schools all together.
