Nope. They make the most difficult decisions so they need to be there for life. That is the reasoning behind it. It prevents them from making changes and later taking advantage of them.

Stop citing Roe v Wade on abortion. Casey v PP is the actual court case of interest. Roe v Wade is never going to be overturned. Mike citing it shows his ignorance.

Marriage should be a state issue. What is ironic is that the left says they are "progressive". The progressive route would be to get government out of marriage. Gay marriage was always legal, it just was not recognized by the government. So the progressive route would be to get government out of marriage. But of course "progressives" don't understand that as they are not actual progressives but instead fascists.

@sekhmara8590 not true. The father of my niece has zero say in her life due to legal issues. You can create legal guardians for kids. You can create emergency contacts as well

@sekhmara8590 that is her father by blood. Legally, though, he can't do anything when it comes to her life. I have another niece whose legal guardian is her stepdad. He can make decisions on her and has custody rights as well if my sister were to die.
