Mike's argument is to say "you are stupid", and that's it. No other argument. The complete dismissal of the other side is dangerous and dumb.

@laserramon9926 I read the studies, it is the flu. The vast majority are not at risk. Also, you being up someone's health and autonomy, what about the psychological health of people that are being jerked around? There is that aspect. I am looking for a job and I am starting to factor in "free states" like TX and FL that are not going crazy over covid as I know it will keep my sanity compared to the stupidity I am seeing now.

@josephlynn865 this virus is a way to divide people so the powers to be win. To get over 70% vaccinated all the democrats had to do was one of two things. In late January when cases were dropping fast, they can reopen everything, stop talking about covid, and encourage the vaccine. Or, say they wanted to get vulnerable people vaccinated first, and then reopen and everyone else can get it. By giving that freedom over 70% would be vaccinated by now with others being the few crazy ones. But the strong push and fear mongering on the left has created this resistance.

@paddleduck5328 what?
2
@fromthehaven94 354 is minute. There are close to 80 million kids in the US. Many were infected. You do the math. Now how many ages zero to 17 die a year to begin with? So yeah, it makes great sense.
2
If you are vaccinated why should you care? You are supposed to be "safe" by the logic of the vaccine. Vaccine mandates are a dangerous route to take as well.
2
@MrWyzdum if you are concerned about people then leave them alone if they want to be left alone. And the virus is going to mutate no matter what. Vaccinated people become infected and mutate to resist the vaccine. Who cares about cases if deaths are low.

@223Drone what claims did I make were not true?
1
And lived.
1
@223Drone never said that bud.
1
@URFTBOUND4LIFE when did I ever deny covid?
1
@thief2801 saying it is not a big deal. He lived like most people did.
1
@elaineburnett5230 if you are vaccinated you are safe. So why should you care?
1
@beverly719 the responsibility is you finding a way to protect yourself and not relying on others to do it.
1
@beverly719 define "protecting". You can protect many in society by locking them in a room.
1
@fromthehaven94 one, children are not at risk. As for now 354 children have died with covid. That is minute. I care, but a part of caring is leaving others alone. I don't want the vaccine. My reasoning should be heard and respected. The problem is many don't do that and now want to force others to take it. The virus is going to spread regardless. It is here, we have to deal with it. If you are vaccinated you are safe, so why should you care?

@223Drone I do read studies bud. Children deaths by covid is extremely rare. 354 over a year and a half time in a nation with nearly 80,000,000 kids is rare. More kids die via gun shot every year, as in over 6 times more. How do I advocate for more covid deaths? I don't. I am saying what we are doing is causing more harm and is a failure. We did not stop the spread, almost all who died with covid would have been dead anyways in the same timeframe based on many objective measures, and we ruined the economy and many people mentally because of it. Substance abuse death spiked the past year. Why don't you care about that? You only care about covid and nothing else.

There are arguments against vaccine mandates. Also, this vaccine is different in many ways compared to others. We did not shut down for other diseases and those vaccines have been around for years. Also, those mandates only exist if you attend those institution. "The govt local state and federal has placed requirement on its citizens since its inception" With large standards in place. Also, there are now legal questions on vaccine mandates via the 14th amendment.
1
@tinalulumack378 yeah, people die. That is life. Our approach with the lockdowns caused more damage. And mandating medical procedures on others is a very dangerous standard to set which can also cause more damage. "So you would rather have people die or disabled because other people are selfish?" On the flip side. Do you want more to suffer from the covid protocols? Do you want to give government that power? What are the three best things governments do? War, war, and war. "Do you have any idea how scary it is as a RN to be exposed to this on a daily basis?" Medical workers are highly trained to take on such challenges. Can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Also, really want to help medical workers? Ban obesity and smoking, to health situations leading to avoidable hospitalizations that overwork our medical workers.
1
@tinalulumack378 yes, people die. We take an approach in society to alleviate it while ont doing damage elsewhere. For example, 40,000 people die a year in traffic accidents. Capping speed limits to 15 mph can make that value to be zero. But the outcome would be an economy being so bad even more people are harmed. Who is begging for a vaccine after becoming infected? If people know the risk that is on them. Just like someone eating junk food everyday and become obese. They know the risk. I care about others so much that I let them make their own decisions. You want to force people to do things. Also, you say future. Is allowing any government to have the power to force medical procedures on people a standard you want to set?
1
@tinalulumack378 covid is going to mutate regardless. That is called evolution. And covid did effect me, as in the restrictions ruined my life and the life of others and continue to place asinine barriers in front of me and others.
1
@SpiceIntolerance if you are vaccinated chances are you are safe from the "mutations". These mutations are very similar all around, thus the vaccine and natural immunity works against them. That is why so few who are vaccinated are not getting infected with the delta variant. And those that do are not getting sick. That is how most viruses work, including this one. Many were already immune from covid due to infection from SARS 1. If you don't want to share a dance floor or venue then don't go. You do know there are more dangers out there than covid? Does a private company protect you from a crazy person coming in with a gun and shooting the place up? No.
1
@SpiceIntolerance the vaccine was in development for years based off of other coronaviruses. It was not fully created as there was no financial incentive to create one. People who are infected with covid develop long term immunity based on many studies. If you want to get life back to normal then you push to just end the covid restrictions. It is only a thing because so many have so much running off of it. Pharma companies with money via vaccines and boosters, politicians via control and using it as a smoke screen. It only goes away when we stop talking about it. It is government forcing mandates. Many states are back to normal. If you think just submitting and taking this vaccine means getting back to normal you are a fool. To many have too much riding on this virus to end it.
1
@223Drone evidence? Gee, I do not know. Maybe millions of years of evolution. And how do I not understand science? Vaccinated people become infected still. Other animals become infected. This virus is going to mutate regardless. Even at that, if you are immune to one chances are you are immune to others. At this point you are vaccinated, you are fine. So move one. Stop telling others what to do.
1
@SpiceIntolerance we are coming up to two years of covid because people like you feel we can just submit our way out of this. That by just doing what the powers to be say and wear a mask and take the vaccine this will all end. It won't. The powers to be hardly give up power.
1
@baqcasanke other vaccines are not like this one. We have never shut down for those diseases, and they have been around for decades. Along with that, they were never this political. And the court case ruling vaccine mandates can be allowed was in 1905. Since then the 14th amendment interpretation has changed in regards to people's private healthcare information, as in Roe v Wade. So it is questionable if government run institutions, as in public schools, can mandate a vaccine. Just saying "well, it always existed" is not an argument. Again, this virus and vaccine have become very political and set dangerous standards.
1
@SpiceIntolerance corruption helps the rich. The elites did well during this "pandemic" where the people became dependent on the government. The economy was shut down to ruin people's lives, beat them down to submit to the powers to be. Obama just threw a massive and expensive birthday party while others are at risk of losing their apartments.
