@DemonDante1000 saying a store can just write it off is asinine. A lot of these businesses are working on thin profit margins. They are not big businesses like Walmart. So yes, stealing from a store is the same as stealing from a person. Saying they can just write it off for a tax credit is asinine. You know what else will save a business tax dollars? Paying workers less or not at all. That saves in payroll taxes. So you are supporting lower wages? And brining up insurance is asinine. Insurance companies will just stop insuring those businesses or at the very least raise prices.

@darthbrandon2149 so more inflation is what you want? Just giving money away where you have more money chasing after fewer goods and services is causing high inflation which harms the middle and lower class. It also increases poverty.

How often was this happening under Trump? Also, cops enforcing the laws is not bad? And it goes beyond "essential items". Many items are being stolen. But hey, how about we just steal from AOC instead of businesses and see how quickly she calls the cops.
