@brunoserafimovski1903 no, for people who are typically poor. That is what the study looked at. A lot that came out of that study is that those people are in bad health to begin with because of unhealthy life choices.
2
Nothing suggests that. Katherine Baicker did a study with citizens of Oregon with expanded medicaid. What she found was that even with access to healthcare their physical health did not improve due to life style choices.
1
@brunoserafimovski1903 the study showed that people who are poor typically have unhealthy lifestyle choices. Thus, giving them access to healthcare does not mean they will live heathier lives.
1
@223Drone how is my claim vague?
1
@xuto2693 "You mean lack of choices" So universal healthcare will mean lack of choices?
1
@brunoserafimovski1903 " Also there is a correlation between unhealthy live choices and poverty" There is. There is a higher obesity rate with those that are poor. That is the point I am making. Even if you give access to healthcare to these people who are poor their physical health will not improve.

@223Drone ok, please explain.
1
@brunoserafimovski1903 so you are going to compare people today to those decades ago? Not a fair comparison. Also, Baicker's paper was published in the NEJM, the journal with the highest impact factor. That says something.
1
@223Drone unlike you I can actually read.
1
@223Drone care to give me those facts?
1
There are flaws in this study. To start, it was a simulation, not actual data. Next a lot of it is lifestyle choices. In conservative areas people smoke more and eat more junk food, that has nothing to do with policies. Also, in conservative areas they have more children. And gun laws would do nothing to significantly lower suicides.
1
@melgibson7313 ok kid, I read it. Unlike you, kid, I have went to school and I can read kid. Go back to the kid's table and finger paint.
1
@melgibson7313 what?
1
They did a simulation. No actual data. Not reliable.
1
@grmpEqweer homelessness is mainly an issue of mental health.
1
@223Drone dude, you have proven to offer nothing to the conversation. Homelessness is a big mental health issue.
1
@223Drone "Your claim that homelessness is only a mental health problem " Never said only, I mainly, which is true. You cannot even have an honest discussion at this point. When did I say that homelessness is "only" a mental health problem?
1
@melgibson7313 kid.....you are not making sense. You do know the drinking age is 21?
1
You do know the vaccine does not work?
