@shortstuff780 understanding the trajectory of an asteroid is easier to do via basic classic mechanics than understanding climate change. Also, the movie failed to point out the many people involved in such issues. With the asteroid it boiled it down to two things. One, divert it or two, blow it up in tiny pieces and mine it. Climate change is way more complicated than that.
There is a ton of doubt in climate change and so many people involved. You may be on the side of "do something" which, I assume, you don't have a clear plan. But in you saying that you will ignore other people's concerns. For example, I can't afford an electric car, and if I could I, at times, have to drive long distances. Will the car I get get me many miles away? I will also have to factor in charging. And if you do plans to get me an affordable electric car, what will that do to the economy? That is just one of millions of factors involved.
With mass hysteria, you want to prevent that as a leader. You don't want to make a problem worse.
DeBlasio is far from a centrist, he is borderline communist. Obama is far from a centrist, he was divisive. If you think those two are centrist I can't imagine what your beliefs are. Actually has me a little worried.
