Dude, republicans do not hate trans people. You have two examples here when MTG is crazy, and the guy in the video is most likely a left wing troll. I suggest you actually interact with republicans, you will see they are not hateful like the media tells you they are.

@gnomechomsky2524 multiple sources. Read Jonathan Haidt's book "The Righteous Mind". That is a good start. On a lot of issues I try to look at experts who are mainly independent. Also, the overall point is that I interact with the community. I interact with all types of people and the vast majority are good. Those who are very far left I see as people who don't. That is why they have this perceptions that people on the right are racists, bigots, hateful, etc. When people on the left hardly interact with society and other people, and then are told a certain political group are racists, bigots, etc., it is creating a false reality. Case in point, a professor in my department was really pushing the removal of racism on our campus as if it is a major issue. I am very active in my campus, and society and feel racism is not a big deal. I interact with many black people and treat them as people. The only time I really see color is when I listen to some leftists like Mike here. When I see a black person my first reaction is not "oh, a black person". I just have the same reaction as I do with everyone else depending on the environment.

@gnomechomsky2524 depends on the topic. If it is involved in healthcare I read numerous sources by doctors. For example, I recently had a discussion with someone on why is there a strong push in getting vaccinated? If someone has become infected they have long term immunity. The person I was discussing with said that was not true. So I pointed to studies in BMJ, Cell, Nature, Science, etc. On economics when I took an economics course for my MBA I was told to read a book by Ben Bernanke as he has more of a left wing viewpoint and a book by an economist who had a right wing viewpoint (forgot his name, I will have to look up his book on my shelf when I get home). You see, I do not go around getting information by some random youtuber or some talking head like others do.

@gnomechomsky2524 if you want a youtuber with good information is Stephen Michael Davis. I admit he is not an expert, but he points to good sources to read for curiosity, whether you agree with them or not. But his video entitled "The Youtube Cargo Cult" he brings up a great point. One is that there are hour long videos of experts going into detail of complex issues. There are also cat videos and top 10 videos. The views speak for themselves which are more popular. Many people do not want to seek out deep information on complex issues, especially if the source comes from someone they disagree with for whatever reason. They rather listen to some talking head give some short comment that they agree with. As I said, even if you disagree with a person's position, you should read what they write if they are an expert.

@gnomechomsky2524 John Hopkins Dr. Marty Makary. In doing so he cited numerous studies. There are a plethora of studies saying long term immunity is possible via T Cells. Why doesn't the media or any of these talking heads, or even Fauci bring them up?

@tomasjosefvela1 this is why we are divided as a nation. The push by the left and the media to call others racists, bigots, etc. is there to divide us. Look at the Trump victory, those on the right do not care about social issues. They are not these hard core, religious conservatives where they use religion to push social agendas. They elected a president that cheated on his wife with a porn star, they don't care. When you interact with people on the right they do not care if you are black, brown, a woman, gay, trans, etc. They judge you as an individual. This push of republicans supposedly hating certain groups divides and conquer us.

They are not racists. People on the left really need to go out in public and interact with more on the right. I bet they will be shocked.

@tomasjosefvela1 it does happen on both sides. To me this is why Trump rose to power. He went after the elites; the politicians, members of the media and big corporations (mainly big tech). Look at the recent elections. You have Clinton calling Trump supporters a group of deplorables, you have Romney saying 47% of people do not pay taxes and he should not care about them. Now enter in Trump ripping both sides apart and members of the media. That is why he was viewed as so much of a threat to the elites. To me, whether intentional or not (I feel a mixture of both), the elites want us fighting against each other while they benefit. I interact with my community and most people are good people. Most people want to mind their own business and watch football. For the elites they want us fighting each other.
